00:00Does anyone, positively or negative,
00:02who really stands out to you in the NFC market?
00:04It would be Tampa Bay, and I know it's a huge deep shot,
00:07but it's Baker Mayfield and what they have done
00:09in the offseason solidifying the wide receivers.
00:12We know Chris Godwin potentially is still a little bit banged up,
00:16might not be there week number one, but they have McMillan.
00:19We know about Mike Evans and what they drafted in Abuka
00:22coming out of Ohio State.
00:23I think this team is going to be loaded offensively.
00:26They lose Liam Cohen, but I don't care.
00:28That defense stepped up at critical junctures last year.
00:31If we're talking about teams, I'm not buying into San Fran.
00:36Too many question marks.
00:37I don't want to bet the unknown.
00:39Detroit, new offense and defensive coordinators, do they regress?
00:44Jordan Love and Matt LaFleur, great offense at times,
00:47but inconsistent and rely way too much on Josh Jacobs,
00:51especially in the playoff loss.
00:54So where do you find value?
00:56I mean, you know I'm high on Arizona.
00:58I'm high on them to just get to the playoffs,
01:00but if we're talking about a team to consistently win the division,
01:05consistently get better in the offseason,
01:08it has to be Tampa Bay if we're talking 15, 20, 25 to one shot.
01:13I'm buying into Baker and Todd Bowles.
01:15I'm a little surprised by the Tampa number, just relatively speaking.
01:18Every year.
01:19When you look at the NFC odds, Minnesota's in front of them.
01:22Minnesota is the third team from the NFC North in terms of the numbers there.
01:27And I'm much lower on Minnesota this year.
01:29I see some rankings out there of, oh, just one of the three best defenses in football.
01:33I don't even think the defense is really all that good, quite frankly.
01:36I'm not as in on J.J. McCarthy.
01:37I just, I'm not, I'm not seeing it with Minnesota at all.
01:42So again, for Tampa Bay, a divisional favorite, you wouldn't think they would be this far down the board.
01:47I'm also still, you know, a little bit higher up.
01:50Now, I'm surprised San Francisco has not moved more positively in the market.
01:55The Niners were perennial contenders every single year in the NFC with Kyle Shanahan,
02:00as long as they were largely healthy.
02:02Now, last year, they were incredibly injured.
02:04I know they've had a lot of injuries this offseason, but it's nothing season ending.
02:07These are all guys that are a little banged up, but they expect to still contribute.
02:11And they're going to kind of have to superstar it by committee instead of entering every single game,
02:15feeling like they have the six best players on the field at any given moment.
02:20But San Francisco, we've heard a lot about the easy schedule, right?
02:26They're supposed to be healthier.
02:28But I, I don't know about you, Joe.
02:30I still do not trust Matthew Stafford holding up for a full season in L.A.
02:37I am not going to, you know, have a goldfish brain when it comes to this.
02:42That's going to linger for me all season long.
02:44And that's a huge win for the Niners.
02:47I understand there are cases to be made on Arizona or Seattle as long shots.
02:52I get it.
02:53But the Niners, to me, feel like they should be bigger favorites in the West.
02:56And therefore, they should be in front of a team like a Detroit, I think, even,
03:01when it comes to the NFC outright.
03:02Well, if they're 100% healthy.
03:04McCaffrey's healthy.
03:05Ayuk, when he comes back as the player that they thought, then, yeah,
03:09then they deserve that number.
03:10But I need to see that before I believe it.
03:13I mean, it's based all on predication.
03:15And we just guessed that they're going to hit on all cylinders week one, you know,
03:19through 10.
03:20And then all of a sudden be nine and one after that, that time frame.
03:24I just don't see it.
03:25For me on the offensive side, tell me if I feel as if they have a lot of guys who
03:30want to game to game could give them a star level performance.
03:32Yeah, absolutely.
03:33Right?
03:33So, again, the Niners.
03:34And now Brian Robinson.
03:35The Niners team that went to the Super Bowl.
03:37You had, Kittle was the best tight end.
03:39McCaffrey was the best running back.
03:41Debo and Ayuk were one of the three best wide receiver duos in football.
03:45Right?
03:46They don't have that because McCaffrey's a little more of a question.
03:49The receivers are a little more of a question.
03:50Kittle's still fantastic.
03:51But I think on a given game, your guy, Juwan Jennings, just went for 95.
03:55Okay, wow.
03:55Rookie Pearsall just went for 84 and two scores.
03:58I think they have a high ceiling game to game from different guys.
04:03I think they're going to be tricky in the prop market.
04:04I do.
04:05You're right about that.
04:06But I think they suffered from the Mike Tyson effect.
04:09They got, like, sort of knocked out last year when they were high coming off that Super Bowl.
04:15And they have, you know, are they going to recover psychologically?
04:18You could have the best team on paper.
04:20But if you're not cohesive and there's no chemistry, they have great players.
04:25Are they going to gel?
04:26That is the question, Mark.
04:27And whether you buy in or not at the 6-1 number, I can't do it right now.
04:31I always reassess come midseason.
04:33So if they're one of the best teams, I'll jump on it.
