00:10Yes, we are at the Melstone, the heart of New Invention. It's your local community pub, the centre of the community.
00:16We do lots and lots of events and entertainment for people of all ages all through the week.
00:23That's fantastic. So we ask the question, we always ask the question, it's really one question,
00:27which is one of the best things about New Invention. What do you reckon it is?
00:31The best thing about New Invention is the people. It is the people, you know, your regulars,
00:36the people that come in that have never been here before that are made to feel welcomed by all of the regulars.
00:41I don't think you go anywhere else and get that same sense of belonging than the community.
00:46So what's the best part? What are we standing in? What's this building here?
00:50So the Hive's a community hub. We've got youth clubs upstairs. We've got, we do the school uniform,
00:58which is pre-loved. We collect from local schools. We've got friendship groups, parents and tots,
01:06baby weighing. The library we've still got. It's a community library. We do computers. We've got the Walsall connected.
01:16We do housing forms. Right, so here we are outside of Sandwich's Fish Bar. So if you could,
01:23if you choose one thing about the area, about New Invention, what do you reckon is the best thing about the area?
01:28The customers, you know, the shops. Everybody's so friendly. Everybody's so friendly.
01:32Ah, that's it. We've got two lovely smiling faces here. Yeah, customers are really very good.
01:37Ah, that's right. So if you could choose one thing that needs improving in the area, what do you reckon that would be?
01:42Any sports shops, more advertisement from a lovely shop?
01:47A nice little seating area for people. A nice little seating area. Ah, we're nice.
01:51It's a place for people to grab the fish and chips, come down, have a little dine.
01:54Yes. Turn it into a destination, I suppose. That's a privilege.
