03:44So the WC Asia Continental Super Lightweight title contested over 10 rounds.
03:49It's the Philippines taking on Iran.
03:51Really looking forward to this one.
03:52Jimmy Pei Pa taking on Madi Sabas.
03:55Sabas had such a great performance in his last fight.
03:59Retiring Waleed El Cahal.
04:02I mean, literally never seen it before, Jimmy.
04:05But just Waleed getting overwhelmed by Madi and just walking out of the ring and refusing to keep competing.
04:11Madi literally making him quit.
04:14Yeah, I remember that fight as well.
04:15It's one of those situations where Waleed felt the referee wasn't helping him out.
04:19He felt he was being fouled against.
04:21And I think he just kind of took matters into his own hand and thought, you know what?
04:25I'm not going to continue this fight where I don't think it's being treated fairly.
04:28It is what it is.
04:29Hopefully those two can run it back.
04:31But here we are.
04:32The man, Jimmy Pei Pa from the Philippines.
04:35We've seen him box several times before.
04:37We've seen Madi fight before.
04:39I'm excited for this one.
04:40But Jimmy's already landed a beautiful left hand down the pipe.
04:43And we've got another great matchup.
04:46Southpaw against Southpaw.
04:48Yeah, this will be a good one.
04:50I mean, Sabaz really does pack a lot of power behind his punches.
04:55We've seen him here just knock fighters out very effortlessly.
05:00But this is a very long fight here.
05:02Ten rounds for Madi Sabaz.
05:06Yeah, Madi Sabaz just, I mean, a very strong fighter.
05:12Very exciting.
05:13And he isn't afraid to get scrappy and do exactly what he needs to do.
05:17Flirt with the rules as much as he can.
05:19But a very exciting boxer.
05:20But look, during that stare down at the start of the fight, Jimmy Pei Pa is looking up at Madi Sabaz.
05:27And he is not one bit intimidated.
05:29This man looked through him and is not intimidated by his size.
05:34And look, Jimmy's got a lot of power in his hands as well.
05:37Yeah, he definitely does.
05:39Yeah, he definitely does.
05:40And he's not respecting the power.
05:42So we'll not say he's not expecting.
05:43He's not afraid of the power of Madi Sabaz.
05:45Just walking him down right now and making sure he doesn't have a lot of range at all to fire his power punches.
05:51Yeah, there is that big difference in there between the respect level and also the fear.
05:55Because you should fear the shots of any opponent because anything can put you down.
05:58But you've also got to believe in yourself as well.
06:01And that's what we're seeing with both of these fighters.
06:03Neither fighter want to lay down and act like they're intimidated by one another.
06:07Just a great start to this title fight so far.
06:10Yeah, it really is. Sabaz already trying to find that torpedo over the left hand of his.
06:15Pushing his glove out there, right there.
06:18That's a bit of a range fly and a bit of a stooler against Jimmy Papar.
06:22I mean, Jimmy keeps lifting up his lead leg, which is going to take a lot of the power away from his shots
06:27if he tries to throw at the same time.
06:28But we know Madi likes to throw punches and bunches to the body and head.
06:32So if he catches Jimmy when he lifts up his leg, he's going to tumble to the canvas
06:36without needing to put in much power behind those shots.
06:39And there we see it.
06:43Madi Sabaz pulling down on the head of Jimmy Papar.
06:47And that was one of the issues in his previous fights.
06:49So we know he likes to flirt with the rules.
06:52He likes to get dirty and he likes to make this a very difficult fight for his opponent.
06:56But it makes it entertaining for the audience.
06:59So let's see some of these action replays here.
07:03So Jimmy Papar going upstairs with that nice lead uppercut as well.
07:08But we saw Madi Sabaz going to the body, going to the head, really mixing up the combinations here.
07:14And that's what we want to see.
07:16We want to see someone who's going upstairs and downstairs and really putting the combinations together.
07:21We've seen a few fights tonight where there's been lots of single punch combinations.
07:25We're now starting to see a little bit of a difference here where we've got Madi Sabaz inhaling one of the...
07:31Just taking an inhale on one of the Thai herbal things that everybody in Thailand uses.
07:42It's the magic thing that really gives you the energy throughout these fights.
07:46But a great round. What did you think of that one, Ali?
07:48Yeah, real back and forth between the two of them.
07:50Jimmy Papar pushing the pace and making sure that Madi Sabaz just didn't bully him at all.
07:56But Sabaz on the inside though, landing that left straight and also just, you know, bullying Jimmy Papar a bit on the inside.
08:05Yeah, a very interesting one because we saw Jimmy isn't going to allow himself to get bullied.
08:10But we also saw Madi doing a very good job of trying to bully Jimmy, which is a very interesting situation here.
08:15But here we are, round number two.
08:17And look, Madi can't keep pushing down on somebody's head and not expecting something to happen.
08:22So that was what we saw in that last fight.
08:24It's movements like this which isn't a legal move.
08:27You can't push down the back of the neck of your opponent.
08:29However, if your opponent and a beautiful right hand, Jimmy Papar down to the body, down to the head.
08:36Yeah, Jimmy Papar really came alive right there with those three punches going to the head and then going to the body.
08:44And that has really stunned Sabaz going on the back foot right now and then going back into the pocket with that one-two.
08:51I love Jimmy did not complain to the referee.
08:54He just gave him a big shot to worry about and that's exactly what you need to do as a boxer.
09:00Don't complain, just give him one back.
09:02And that's exactly what Jimmy Papar just did.
09:05Both these two cracking each other with their own power punches.
09:09Going at it with the hooks.
09:10Sabaz landing a couple of barrages of his own combinations until they go into the clinch.
09:15But you've just got to love just the bravery right here of Jimmy Papar just walking down Sabaz and really making the Iranian fighter work for this one, Jimmy.
09:29Yeah, I mean Jimmy Papar has got to know how powerful Mahdi is.
09:34He must have seen his previous fights where he made somebody almost quit in the ring and Jimmy's just walking him down.
09:41Walking him down with a nice high guard like Ronald Winky Wright, marching towards him and just trying to find those big openings.
09:48Like a Spartan with a shield, he's just using a big shield and getting that spear through as much as he possibly can.
09:55Great stuff by Jimmy Papar.
09:57Yeah, I mean this is the thing though, when you're an aggressive fighter and you like to command the pace, control it, just drive it on the front foot.
10:04When someone does it back to you and you don't know how to react to it, just how like Sabaz is doing right now, it's difficult really.
10:11But good right hook there from Sabaz who just took Jimmy Papar off the center line very momentarily, Jimmy.
10:17You've got to bully the bully, that's the best way to do it.
10:20You counter a bully by out bullying them and that's what I think Jimmy is just trying to do.
10:25But he's also proving he's not intimidated at all by the size and power of Marty Sabaz.
10:31But this is an absolute beautiful fight so far.
10:35Marty Sabaz really catching Jimmy with some great shots as well.
10:40Good right hook there from Marty Sabaz.
10:43This fight is really starting to heat up in round number two.
10:46Jimmy Papar just pushing a furious pace with the front foot, taking the fight to Marty Sabaz.
10:51And Sabaz just trying to fire back as best he can.
10:54Marty doing the right thing here as well on the back foot while going on the back foot, waiting for Jimmy to come towards him and then cracking him with counters.

11:35Very, very exciting.
11:37Exactly what we want to see in a title fight.
11:39We just saw the previous title fight.
11:41It was absolute fireworks.
11:43And that's what we're seeing right now.
11:45I mean, Jimmy Papar to me is doing what he needs to do.
11:48Walking towards him with a high guard, not being intimidated.
11:52But Marty Sabaz has now got to use the angles well.
11:56He's got to get around the guard of Jimmy Papar.
12:00Ronald Winky Wright used to do this all the time.
12:02He was a southpaw who had very long arms.
12:05He would walk towards you with a big, long guard.
12:07And he used to dominate opponents until he went up against somebody
12:10who knew how to pivot and get around it.
12:12And I would like to see Marty start moving around Jimmy's guard here.
12:16But what a great fight.
12:18Yeah, that's not his start, I think.
12:19You think he decides to stay in the pocket and just slug it back and forth,
12:23which is what we're about to see right now.
12:25I mean, Marty Sabaz coming from the Cyrus Muay Thai gym,
12:28which is in Samupra Khan on the outskirts of Bangkok.
12:31And he's, you know, stable mates with Sarusha Barry,
12:34who's an awesome counter fighter for Muay Thai.
12:37And also Hassan Vadan Arad,
12:39who's got a similar style to Marty in Muay Thai.
12:42He likes to just come forward and have a war with his opponent.
12:45Yeah, and like you just said, it's not his style.
12:48And that's what we kind of want to see right now as well.
12:51We want to see a fight like this.
12:53We want to see two people just really put it all on the line and just go for it.
12:57It's a beautiful fight and exactly what you should expect for a title fight.
13:01A nice right hand upstairs by Jimmy.
13:03But Marty comes back with a beautiful combination of his own.
13:06Jimmy getting, sorry, Sabaz getting told off for just cranking down on the neck right there.

13:19Pivoting around just what you wanted, Jimmy.
13:21Yeah, he's starting to pivot and it's exactly what you need to do.
13:24If somebody's marching towards you in one direction, change the direction, get off the line.
13:29But a great uppercut for the guard and he finishes him nearly, but it was a low shot.
13:34Jimmy should have been protecting himself at all times.
13:38And here we are back into the action we go.
13:41Great uppercut there to kick things off again after that quick warning by the referee to keep your punches up.
13:48Again, Sabaz hunting for that uppercut.
13:53Jimmy though, really trying to find his counterpunch right now on the inside.
13:58Just walking Sabaz down.
14:00There's that right hook, Jimmy.
14:02Yeah, I mean, look, Pippa's doing exactly what he should be doing, which is just coming forward.
14:05But you need to come forward with a jab.
14:08You can't just expect yourself to get on the inside.
14:11Unless Marty gets tired, you can't just keep walking him down.
14:14You've got to walk towards him with a jab as well.
14:17You've got to jab upstairs and downstairs.
14:19Give your opponent something to worry about.
14:21But Marty just really coming alive now.
14:24Beautiful combinations upstairs and downstairs.
14:27Jimmy fighting back.
14:31Straight to the body.
14:33And then hook to the head from Sabaz.
14:36Sabaz again clinching up.
14:38I mean, Marty's not actually clinching.
14:40He's just wrapping his opponent around the back of the head.
14:43The referee could actually take a point for this as well.
14:46You can't wrap around like he's doing.
14:49Technically, you can't grab like this at all.

14:54Sabaz landing his left hand.
14:57Jimmy Paper trying to slip and dip his way in.
15:00But Sabaz tying him up in the clinch right there.
15:03It's been a great round by both of these.
15:05But Marty has got underneath some of the shots of Jimmy.
15:09He's countered very well.
15:11And I think Marty Sabaz is just winning this fight with some great counter work.
15:16And he's also forcing the fight to his opponent as well.
15:19Brilliant round.
15:21Absolute warfare and just trench matchups.
15:25That's what we want to see.
15:26Some of these action replays here.

15:32And this is the difference between these two fighters.
15:35Jimmy is throwing single punch combination counters.
15:39Marty Sabaz is throwing three to four punches at a time.
15:43And just by the sheer volume alone, Marty is going to win these rounds.
15:47Just because he's throwing more shots than Jimmy.
15:50I assume Jimmy is just praying.
15:53Praying.
15:54Marty Sabaz tires himself out and punches himself out.
15:57So he can finally get some of his counter shots off.

16:02What a great fight we get to witness.

16:09Yeah, what a fight has been.
16:11I mean, I feel like Paper just wasn't very successful on the front foot in that round.
16:17And just got outboxed quite a bit on my unofficial scorecard at least, in my opinion.
16:23I think you nailed it there as well.
16:25I think he got outboxed at his own game.
16:28They were both boxing a very similar style.
16:30Marty Sabaz was just doing a better version of it.
16:33But I mean, like you said, you wanted Sabaz to pivot in that round.
16:36And we saw that.
16:37See if, at least if Paper can try and cut him off instead of just following him the whole time.
16:42I mean, following him in straight lines, it's not a great tactic to use.
16:47Especially if Sabaz keeps on angling off like this.
16:50Absolutely.
16:51Instead of following, you need to cut off and get them where you want to.
16:54Your hooks will land even better if you know which side your opponent is moving to.
16:59If your opponent, you know, is moving to your left or right, you know which hook to throw.
17:03Jimmy's got to stop following, start cutting off the ring and really start using a jab as well as a hook.
17:09A great hook downstairs.
17:11Marty tries to tangle onto him.
17:14Yeah, ripping it to the body, Jimmy Paper.
17:18A great jab got through by Jimmy Paper there as well.
17:21But Marty comes back with a combination of his own.

17:27I mean, especially if he's going on the front foot like this.
17:29High guard, trying to slip and dip your way into the pocket.
17:32You've got to think that he's going to target the body just like he did right there, ripping it again.
17:36Yeah, once you get underneath a shot, you should be ripping to the body.
17:40If you get underneath and there it is.

17:43He gets underneath a shot, goes down low.
17:46But Marty Sabaz just looks so conditioned and so well versed that he's landing great combinations.
17:52But again, he goes for the headlock.
17:54So maybe his previous opponent had a point to make here.

18:03Jimmy Paper just slipping and ripping into the body.
18:05But Sabaz coming, leaping in with that left hand.
18:09Again, right hand and going to the body as well on himself, Sabaz.

18:15Marty Sabaz boxing well, but also making it a bit of a dogfight as well.
18:20So one thing about Marty Sabaz is he can outbox you, but he can also flirt with the rules as much as he likes.

18:29He knows what he's doing.
18:30It's great stuff by Buffum.
18:32But the heart of Jimmy to keep marching forward and still be swinging is great stuff as well.

18:41Jimmy just hasn't taken his foot off the gas at all from start to finish in this fight so far.
18:46I love his work rate.
18:48And then you see there Marty Sabaz catching him with the right hand and the left as well.
18:53And it tends to be a battle of the gas tank.
18:56Who's got more gas in the tank to keep going forward and keep swinging like this?

19:03We're not even halfway, but a big lead hook landed by Jimmy.

19:36Yeah, I mean, what a round it was.
19:39I mean, we saw Jimmy Paper just ripping it to the body.
19:42Beautiful work there from the Filipino fighter just slipping and ripping.
19:46Had a lot of time for that.
19:47And then Sabaz just came into his own and started to find his groove as soon as he ate a few of those body shots.
19:53I kind of woke him up a bit in that round.
19:55We just stopped behind his straight punches and started to pivot around Jimmy Paper.
20:00I love these types of fights.
20:02Trench warfare.
20:04Hook, duck and just absolutely going for it.
20:08Neither fighter wanting to take a back foot and just putting on an absolute display of warfare for the crowd watching.
20:15And this is what you should expect to see when there's a title fight.
20:19Either two fighters boxing, slipping and just moving around.
20:23Ali, we can see the live points here right now.
20:27It's 39-37 to the blue corner.
20:29So Marty Sabaz is ahead on the judges scorecards by two rounds.
20:34So Jimmy Paper has really got to try and pull this one out of the bag at a moment, Jimmy.
20:39But interestingly here is that's got to give some hope to Jimmy that his style is still working and able to beat someone like Marty Sabaz.
20:47So that proves that his style is enough to win a round as well.
20:51So both of these fighters to me have a very similar style.
20:54Marty's just the more active version of the style.
21:00And Marty Sabaz has got to have a bit of confidence there in his tactics at the moment.
21:05That he's up by two rounds on the judges' scorecards.
21:08But as Tommy Morrison always says, there's always one punch away from a fight being ended.
21:14And that's exactly what we could see here. All it takes is one punch to put somebody down.
21:21Sabaz again tying up his opponent.
21:24One-two from Sabaz. Overhand left as well.
21:27A good left hand as well. It landed clean.
21:30And this is the other thing here. Instead of forcing the counters, they're just swinging for each other.
21:37But I would also like to see some more feints being thrown in.
21:40If you can get your opponent to move into your shot, it's going to land even harder.
21:44And you don't have to use as much energy.
21:46With that being said, everything that these two are doing is just absolutely fantastic.
21:51But Marty, to me, is winning this fight with just better activity and cleaner punches.
21:58Yeah, Marty again pivoting around.
22:01Jimmy Sabaz going to the body as well.
22:06Boxing so well, Sabaz.
22:09He's moving the way that he likes to fight as well, Jimmy. He's really adjusted.
22:13Yeah, I mean, we used to see middleweights boxed a lot like this as well.
22:17They would just duck and dive and really rip to the body.
22:19I mean, Mike McCallum was very well known for this, the body snatcher.
22:23Every time he ducked underneath your shot, he would go to the body.
22:27It didn't matter which way he was swaying.
22:29Every time he dodged one of your shots, he would land a counter to your body in every instance.
22:35And we're starting to see that with Marty Sabaz.
22:37He's going to the body and I think he's tearing up Jimmy here.
22:40And eventually, I think he's just going to win this fight just by sheer activity.
22:44But Jimmy catches him with a big shot as well.
22:47Yes, Sabaz answering back though, but Jimmy again ripping it to the body.
22:52You've got to love these right hooks to the body from Jimmy Paper.
22:55I love that every shot Jimmy throws, he gives it his full intention to knock his opponent out.
23:03Everything he is throwing, he gives everything to.
23:06He does not look like a man who wants to give up, but Marty has got to be careful as well.
23:11You can never discredit someone who is in desperation because that's where Jimmy is going to be lethal.
23:16But Marty, to me, is just absolutely dominating now.
23:21Yeah, it's like every exchange.
23:24Big's really had to dig deep through though, Sabaz, in this fight.
23:27We've seen him bulldoze his opponents in previous bouts on this promotion.
23:31But right now, Jimmy Paper is not going down without a fight.
23:36And we've seen Jimmy do the same thing back as well.
23:38Bulldoze his opponents through.
23:40We've got bulldozer against bulldozer.
23:43Exactly what we like to see, Ali.
23:45All right, let's see some of these action replays as well.
23:47From that round, there was a big left hand that got through for Jimmy.
23:50But Marty Sabaz constantly ripping to the head and to the body.
23:55But you can see from these replays, both fighters just missing each other by inches in some situations,
24:01which is a good sign that they're reading each other really, really well.
24:05Just an exciting round.
24:08One of those fights where you don't really need to understand boxing to really enjoy what's going on.
24:13Yeah, I mean, it's a complete different kettle of fish compared to our previous title fight.
24:19But we saw just a bit of a stalemate of those two fighters, Jessie Pagadouan and her opponent, Pialak.
24:27Now, Jessie was just going on the back foot and just wasn't engaging that much.
24:32And then Pialak just trying to close her down.
24:34Whereas these two are just trying to meet each other in the middle.
24:37But more so, Sabaz is angling off.
24:40You could also argue that if they saw that last fight where I thought Jessie did enough to win that fight,
24:46they might realize that they can't leave it to the judges scorecards.
24:49They've got to try and end it as soon as they possibly can.
24:51But here we are for round number six, Ali.
24:54Yeah, here we go.
24:55We're just over the halfway mark now in this title fight.
24:58If we go that far, let's see if one of these two can finish it inside the distance.
25:01It's Marty Sabaz in the blue taking on Jimmy Paper in the red.
25:05I'm surprised it's gone this far.
25:07Both fighters have taken huge shots in this fight so far.
25:12But neither fighter want to lay down.
25:14Both fighters are trying to end it.
25:16I mean, I don't think we've even seen a jab recently.
25:18We've just seen hook after hook.
25:20It's almost very reminiscent of when Evander Holyfield fought George Foreman as well.
25:25It was just hook after hook.
25:27Jab there from Marty Sabaz as he moves laterally around his opponent.
25:33Great fit work being demonstrated here by the Iranian.
25:36Jimmy Paper trying to land the uppercut on the back foot but having no success.
25:40And that left hand just sneaks through the guard of Jimmy Paper from Marty Sabaz.
25:45Jimmy Paper looking like he's getting very tired now.
25:48Marty has just got to turn it up ever so slightly and he might be able to put Jimmy away here.
25:54It is really just a battle of who wants it more and who's got more energy than the other person.
25:59But you know Marty Sabaz is also tired as well.
26:03I just think he's better at hiding how tired he is in this situation.

26:11Trying to rip it with that right hook.
26:13Had a lot of success with that in an earlier round.
26:16But just hasn't found the same success in round number six.
26:22I mean also the great thing here is they're both southpaw so they've both got the same counter punches as well.
26:27If it was an orthodox against a southpaw of a fight like this you'd see lots of head clashes.
26:32You'd see lots of foot tangles and they would be smothering each other.
26:35This to me has been a very, very clean war.
26:39Yeah I mean it's not often that we get to call southpaw versus a southpaw matchup.
26:45But it's something that you'd definitely love to see.
26:47A real clash of styles between, well no sorry not a clash of styles at all.
26:53They're both common copies of each other.
26:55But it does clash itself because if you know what your opponent's capable of it's because you're capable of it as well.
27:01So you're clashing in the sense of I know what you can do and you know what I can do situation as well.
27:06And it's great clash of the titans so to speak.
27:10Yeah exactly there's Sabaz with the left uppercut.
27:13Jimmy Paper not being fazed by it though.
27:15Coming forward breathing a little bit heavy though in round six Jimmy Paper.
27:19But this is the interesting thing here.
27:21Marty Sabaz has given Jimmy every shot he possibly can.
27:25He's hit him with the hardest shots that to me would have put most people on the canvas.
27:30And Jimmy has not once stopped going forward.
27:33That is the mental warfare that Jimmy plays on you.
27:37He just keeps going forward but Marty now coming alive.
27:40He's got Jimmy against the ropes.
27:41He stumbles ever so slightly.
27:43And both fighters giving it everything they've got.
27:46Final seconds of this round.
27:48And a great round.
27:50A great sequence to finish it.
27:52We're going to go to some action replays.
27:54Yeah here we go with the replays right here.
27:57So we see that left hand sneak through a couple of times there on the replay for Marty Sabaz.
28:02And going upstairs with the right hook.
28:04Again it really was such a dominant round for the Iranian fighter.
28:07Who just really outboxed.
28:10Jimmy Paper again was waiting for him.
28:12With these real quick short shot punching combinations.
28:16Going upstairs to the head and downstairs to the body Jimmy.
28:19I thought this was just a great fight.
28:22But we're starting to see Jimmy is now following Marty.
28:26Rather than trying to set up his shots.
28:29Instead of trying to set up the shots.
28:31He's just following him and hoping Marty gets tired.
28:34Now we're entering the final round of this fight.
28:38Where it gets to the point of whoever has more energy.
28:41Can really put somebody away.
28:43And you know what it's like Ali.
28:44The more tired you are.
28:45The harder the shots will hit as well.
28:47So it's one of those situations where we could get to the tenth round.
28:51And still see somebody get knocked down.
28:53Yeah that could potentially happen.
28:56You never know.
28:57Let's see if Marty Sabaz and Jimmy Paper have got enough energy in the tank.
29:02To go the distance if they need to.
29:04And here we go.
29:07Marty just once again.
29:09Teeing off with hook after hook.
29:11Neither fighter want to throw a jab.
29:13They just want to throw everything they've possibly got at one another.
29:17And hook one will fall over.
29:23Sabaz tying up his opponent in the clinch.
29:27I mean that clinch has just been a short respite for both of these fighters.
29:31But neither are really fighting in the clinch anymore.
29:34They're using that clinch for about three seconds.
29:37The referee breaks them.
29:38They get straight back into the action.
29:40Overhand left there from Sabaz.
29:44Right hook two.
29:45That overhand left hit in the shoulder of Jimmy Paper.
29:49But no doubt that's going to take some of the energy.
29:51Some of the power out of his punches.
29:53The fitness level.
29:55The conditioning and the heart these two fighters have.
29:58To put on a fight at this caliber.
30:01To constantly move forward for a hook after hook.
30:04And take big shot after big shot.
30:06But still keep moving forward.
30:08Is absolute beautiful boxing.
30:10And it's exactly what a title fight needs to be every time.
30:14Something like this to entertain the masses.
30:17Beautiful stuff.
30:18Win or lose.
30:19There is no loser in this fight really.
30:22Left hand there down the middle from Marty Sabaz.
30:26Both these two are tired.
30:28No doubt about it.
30:29We're in round seven now of ten.
30:31And the referee not allowing him to rest any longer in that clinch.
30:35And it is just a situation of who is less tired.
30:39And who is landing more shots.
30:41But to me Marty Sabaz is now dominating this fight.
30:44I think Jimmy Paper is going down to a situation where he'll need a Hail Mary to put Marty to the canvas.
30:51Yeah he really does.
30:52But we've definitely seen it happen before.
30:54And Paper looks like he's trying to use the right hook to the body as it's Hail Mary.
30:59But he just hasn't been able to phase Sabaz too much in these later rounds.
31:04Yeah I mean those body shots.
31:06I mean when you've hit an opponent with a huge body shot and it's barely stunned them.
31:11It's very disorientating for yourself because you feel like you can't do anything to them.
31:16But if you believe you can find the right shot.
31:18You know a man usually has the flirting rib, the solar plexus, the liver shots.
31:22If you can find it you don't need much power to put somebody down.
31:26No you don't. It's all about placement really with those body shots.
31:30And like you always say timing beats power and speed all the time.
31:34If you can time one of those body shots perfectly it will be the end of your opponent's night.
31:39I mean if you think of those classic fights and that classic trilogy between Arturo Gatti and Mickey Ward.
31:45Both fighters fought like this. Barely any clinching.
31:49Yet it was still a body shot that put their fighters to the canvas.
31:53So here we go Marty Sabaz nearly finishing Jimmy Pippa in that sequence just there.
31:59As he leans on top of him.
32:01Wow.
32:03It looks like we're going to an eighth round.
32:05Who thought it would have gone this far?
32:07Here we are with some action replays.
32:09Marty Sabaz just teeing off on Jimmy on the ropes.
32:12And this is pretty much what the fight has been so far.
32:16Jimmy Pippa with a few punches in between.
32:19But Marty Sabaz with about four more shots for every one shot that Jimmy has been throwing.
32:24And we see Marty still dancing around left to right.
32:27Pivoting in and out.
32:29And look at the face of Jimmy Pippa.
32:31He realizes what type of fight he's in.
32:34And he's only got a few more rounds to try and take this away.
32:37Yeah and it's definitely possible though.
32:39It's definitely possible to try and call this back.
32:42Like we keep saying with one Hail Mary of a punch.
32:45But a huge ask though.
32:47Time is really on the side of Marty Sabaz.
32:50But not so much on the side of Jimmy Pippa.

32:54I mean I hope Jimmy just comes out and tries something a little bit different.
32:58In the sense of at least setting up some of these hooks to the body.
33:01Rather than just trying to force a hook warfare.
33:03At least try and set something up.
33:05But here we are folks.

33:07Yeah round eight.
33:10Of this ten round affair.
33:13And straight away Jimmy Pippa goes crashing into the pocket.
33:17Tronalan one of his hooks to the body.
33:20Swinging and missing with one there.
33:22And we start to see the one two being utilized by Marty Sabaz.
33:28Maybe a sign that he is getting a little bit tired now.
33:31And he realizes he's got the man from Philippines.
33:34Mr. Jimmy Pippa just coming forward.
33:37And he is not going to stop.
33:39He will constantly keep hunting you down until the fight is over.
33:43Marty has got to know that deep down.
33:45Nothing he can do right now is going to stop Jimmy.
33:48No nothing at all at the moment.
33:52Not at this pace.
33:53Jimmy has walked through a lot.
33:56Taking a lot of damage here.
33:58Almost been a battering ram.
34:00And here we are just ducking and weaving in and out.
34:05Going to the body.
34:06And it looks like Marty Sabaz is doing everything.
34:08He can now to clinch onto Jimmy Pippa.
34:12Either this is a sign that Marty just needs a round to take a breather.
34:16But if Jimmy just keeps pushing the pace.
34:18Keeps jabbing upstairs.
34:20Hopefully he can get those hooks to the body.
34:23But I think Marty is just a little bit too active and a little bit too accurate.
34:27Yeah, I couldn't agree with you more, Jimmy.
34:31Jimmy Pippa just trying so hard to claw his way back into this fight on the inside.
34:37But keeps on getting clocked every single time by Marty Sabaz.
34:41I saw it earlier on there with that straight left down the middle.
34:43And he also is starting to hit to the hips of Jimmy Pippa.
34:47Once you take that many shots to the hips when you're tired, it really stops your movement as well.
34:51It's a very old school move that the Americans like to use, which is just hitting the hips of your opponent.
34:57And you start to see Marty Sabaz doing that right now.
35:01Yeah, 100%.
35:04Sabaz doesn't need to risk it too much as well.
35:07We've seen him go in some real wars on this promotion.
35:10He doesn't really need to.
35:11He can just kind of hide behind his jab a bit and just pick his shots very wisely instead of getting into a back and forth war.
35:18Which is exactly what Jimmy Pippa wants because he's trying to get back into this fight desperately, Jimmy.
35:23Yeah, very good point.
35:24I mean, Marty Sabaz could jab and grab.
35:26He could jab and grab and win this fight.
35:28But that also proves something about Marty Sabaz.
35:31He isn't willing to take the easy way out.
35:34He's still willing to go toe-to-toe with an opponent that, to me, he's winning quite convincingly.
35:40Yeah, no, 100%.
35:41I mean, he doesn't want to make this a boring fight at all, which you've got to give him credit for.
35:46Like I said, he could easily just jab and grab on the outside.
35:50But he doesn't necessarily want to do that too much.
35:52See him just stepping off there to land that left hand and then going into the clinch.
35:56There's a bit of, not necessarily jab and grab, but more jab, well straight left, right hook and then grab.
36:03Yeah, he's still putting combinations together.
36:05So it's just another version of the jab and grab.
36:08And again, Marty doesn't have to do this.
36:11He could now just kind of dance his way to victory.
36:13But again, either he's not confident with himself or he realizes that Jimmy's never going to stop coming forward.
36:20Jimmy has to do something spectacular. Ali, talk us through these rounds.
36:24I mean, it was such a dominant eighth round of action.
36:27See here, Sarbaz just pivoting on the turn there, just landing the check shots as he goes.
36:34That left hand was absolute money for Sarbaz in that eighth round.
36:39And Jimmy Paper tried so hard to walk his man down and to land that right body rip to the body,
36:47but just didn't pay off at all.

36:52There's Hasan Badana Rad who I mentioned early on, one of his teammates.
36:56An absolute, you know, like, bulldozer of a Muay Thai fighter.
37:01Loves to have a war with his opponents.
37:03Similar to Marty Sarbaz as well.

37:22I've definitely got Marty Sarbaz winning this fight quite convincingly.
37:27But again, we never really know what's going on.
37:33No, we definitely don't.

37:41So all three judges scoring it 79 to 73 to the blue corner, Marty Sarbaz.
37:47So, I mean, with that much of, you know, a land side of a score, Jimmy,
37:53I mean, you're up by six rounds.
37:56I mean, are you just going to stay on the outside?
37:58Are you going to go for it and finish in style?
38:00I mean, it depends who you are.
38:01Like we've said before,
38:02it doesn't matter if you win or lose on these situations as long as you put on a good fight.
38:07I just think Marty doesn't like to go out that way.
38:09I don't think that's Marty's style.
38:11I think Marty just likes to have a fight with you.
38:13And I don't think he just wants to do that.
38:16He could do it and he doesn't want to.
38:18He knows he's winning.
38:19He knows he doesn't have to do this.
38:21Yet he's still doing a fight like this.
38:23I mean, that is a lot of credit to Marty Sarbaz to do something like this.

38:47I think his paper just can't get past this forward pressure from Marty.
38:52Well, it's just his straight punches just stopping him in his tracks.

38:58Jimmy just can't really slip and dip his way out of it.
39:02I mean, the most surprising thing of this fight is neither fighter has gone down.
39:07Both fighters have taken huge hair makers.
39:10They've taken the best shot possible from each of their opponent.
39:13Neither fighter has even stumbled.
39:16Neither fighter has even wobbled.
39:18It's been an absolute warfare of iron chins, heart of the lion, and just absolute fantastic close quarters boxing.

39:31And you make a good point there.
39:33I'm surprised that neither of these two have scored a knockdown.
39:35We know, we've seen, definitely seen both of them do it in their previous bouts here.
39:39We haven't seen one so far tonight.
39:41I mean, that just shows how close it's been.
39:43Good right hand though there from Marty Sabaz.
39:46As soon as I said it, just, you know, it's like really cool.
39:49Jimmy paper off guard.
39:51And that was one of those shots where we've seen so many good shots in this fight.
39:55But that was one of those clean shots where neither fighter even expected it to land.
39:59And it almost wobbled Jimmy there.
40:01But Jimmy, to me, has taken lots and lots of damage right now.
40:04And he's in a situation where he's completely down on the scorecards.
40:08His corner has got to be telling him in this round.
40:11For round number 10, he just needs to be spectacular.
40:15I mean, to even come out in the 10th round when you know you're losing this hard,
40:19you need to do something crazy and amazing to win this fight.
40:23We're going to get some action replays in just a moment here.
40:27What a round that was.
40:29I mean, again, Sabaz probably finding out that he's six rounds up on the judges scorecards
40:34and just taking his time off a little bit, going on the back foot,
40:38which you don't normally see him do, especially in the previous fights,
40:41making it a lot harder for Jimmy paper to sort of engage with him
40:44and try and just sort of pull himself back into this fight.
40:48He's got to have a huge miracle.
40:50I mean, in this 10th and final round, if he can pull this off,
40:53that would be a real comeback of the year for us on Highland Promotions.
40:58I mean, it's Halloween, but neither of these two have been spooked by each other's styles.
41:02It's been a great all-out war between Marty Sabaz from Iran in the blue
41:07and Jimmy paper from the Philippines in the red.
41:09Yeah, it's been just a great fight so far.
41:12Every second of this fight has been exciting and now we're in the 10th round.
41:19We're in a situation where it doesn't feel like neither fighter is losing,
41:24but we're in a situation where we know Marty is winning
41:27and we know Jimmy has to do something like a knockout to win this fight.
41:32He has to knock out Marty Sabaz to win. Can he do it? We will find out in two minutes, 50 seconds.
41:39Left hand there again from Marty Sabaz. Going to the body there, slipping down to the canvas.
41:47The only time the fighters have entered the canvas is via a quick slip there.
41:53We're back into the action, both fighters in central ring and we see him slip once again.
41:57So clearly that middle of the ring is very slippy.
42:01Veteran fighters, what they'll do is they'll drag you to certain parts of the ring where they know it's slippy
42:07and that's where they start delivering their big shots as well.
42:10Going upstairs right now, trying to find an opening.
42:16Marty with a beautiful overhand left and then just grabs onto Jimmy Pepper.
42:22Yeah, I mean, you see Farshad, Marty Sabaz's manager, owner of the Cyrus Gym,
42:29shouting at his fighter just to stay on the outside and just keep the fight safe.
42:35Don't risk it too much. Just something I can tell you right now.
42:38I see Farshad's fighters fight every week almost and they're not like this at all.
42:42They normally just have to go forward every single round.
42:46So it's probably a bit of a breath of fresh air for Farshad, seeing his fighter be so ahead of the scorecards
42:51and be almost running away with this win at the moment, Jimmy.
42:54Yeah, they're used to going forward but we're in a situation where Marty doesn't need to go forward anymore.
42:59He just needs to dance on the back foot halfway through this round.
43:03He's 1 minute 24 seconds away from possibly winning the WBC Asia Continental Super Lightweight belt.
43:12That's all he has to do. He has to survive.
43:14And now it's a case of can Jimmy do something spectacular?
43:17Can he somehow take out this opponent?
43:21It's hard to knock someone out who's in the center of the ring as well.
43:25Yeah, he took the words right out of my mouth there. Spectacular.
43:29We've said it so many times before, but it's definitely happened.
43:32But now the clock is just winding down.
43:35We've got less than a minute to go in this 10th and final round of this championship fight.
43:40And I just feel like Sabaz still playing it so safe, controlling the fight so well with his footwear.
43:47Just look at how he's pivoting off to the right.
43:49He's playing it safe, but not as safe as he possibly could either.
43:53He's still taking a bit of a risk here.
43:55I mean, the only fight I can really think of is when we saw Karl Froch lose 12 rounds
44:02and then knock his opponent out within the final 35 seconds or so.
44:06It can happen, but is it going to happen in this fight? Very unlikely.
44:10I think Mahdi Sabaz is now boxing way too smart to allow this to happen.
44:17Left hand down the middle there from Sabaz being tied up in the clinch.
