New Economy Minister Kung Ming-hsin opened his tenure by meeting some of Taiwan's largest industry groups in Taipei, pledging weekly exchanges and quarterly sessions to track business requests as US tariffs take effect. He said about US$160 million has been set aside to support industrial upgrades using domestic suppliers.
