00:46To get the real story, Sam Galoo went to his home in Berkeley, California, and talked with the Admiral.
00:54Admiral, I came here to talk with you about the key figure in our story tonight, Admiral Isokuro Yamamoto.
01:04Admiral, why did you decide to intercept and destroy Yamamoto and his staff?
01:10Because Admiral Yamamoto was the leading naval officer in the Japanese Navy.
01:17He was credited with being a very excellent organizer, strategist, and tactician.
01:23And we felt that if we could eliminate him and the principal members of his staff,
01:28we would be striking a powerful blow for our side.
