00:00E.A.S.P.R.I.S. It's in the game.
03:29Let's take a look at tonight's matchups.
04:23from the opponents. Kelly is an 11-year veteran who sets up a lot of scoring
04:31chances for his teammates. He averaged a point per game on a low-scoring Sharks
04:35team in 1993. Kelly can handle a heavy workload so use him on offense to set up
04:39goals and on defense to shadow the opponent's top scorer.
04:45Rod has had four solid NHL seasons capped by a career-high 37 goals and 49
04:51assists in 1992-93. He's a consistent, gritty forward who's very strong on his
04:56skates. Count on Rod in all situations for great two-way play.
05:04Johan is a tricky three-year veteran who had his best year ever in 1993 with 66
05:08points. He's a quick skater who can connect with the open man. He's also a
05:13tough guy for the other team's checkers to catch. Double shift him late in the game
05:16when the other team might be tired.
05:21Mark is one of the league's most awesome scorers with 333 points in his last three
05:26seasons. He can set plays up from anywhere on the ice and can put the puck on net
05:30from any spot. Give Mark ice time against the other team's top line and make sure
05:35that he quarterbacks the power play.
05:40Pat is one of the young stars the Sharks are banking on. He's a spark plug who has scored
05:44just under a point per game since coming into the NHL. Pat is a hard-working forward who
05:49should get a lot of ice time on both the power play and penalty killing units.
05:56Dimitri had a good rookie season on the Flyers blue line in 1993. He played the man well and
06:01knocked more than a few guys off the puck. Dimitri is a strong skater who can be double
06:05shifted in tight situations.
06:06Neal is a rock-solid stay-at-home defenseman who works hard on every shift. He's a four-year NHL
06:16veteran who likes to knock opposing players around. Neal thrives on lots of ice time and
06:20is good at passing the puck ahead to his teammates. So use him to kill penalties and clear the front
06:25of the net. Gary has been a solid two-way defenseman for nine seasons. He's racked up over 300 career
06:34points including a personal best 62 and 93. Gary can hit a rushing forward with a hard crisp pass
06:40use him as a cornerstone of the Flyers defense.
06:46Doug is one of the league's best offensive defensemen whose shot seems like it's fired
06:50out of a cannon. He's also a wizard with the puck who finds the open man extraordinarily well.
06:56Make sure Doug is on the point during a power play and try to get him the puck for a one-timer.
07:03Tommy turned back a lot of rubber in the Flyers' goal during his rookie season in 1993.
07:08He was in the net for 20 wins and five shutouts and was off in the difference in close games.
07:13Tommy is lightning quick and doesn't give the other team's big guns much to shoot at.
07:20Arturce can be a real acrobat. He had by far the best goals against Mark of any of the Sharks' four
07:26goalies in 1993. Arturce is quick and doesn't get rattled when a goal is scored on him. Get Arturce
07:32into as many games as possible. He's a workhorse who seems to get his team to play with a lot of gusto.
