00:06We are set for what should be one of the most controversial and
00:10violent World Heavyweight title matches of all time.
00:12We now go down to the ring and Joel Gertner.

00:42The following contest scheduled for one fall with a one-hour time limit is for
00:50the ECW Heavyweight Championship of the World.
01:00Judge Jeff Jones leads the ECW World Heavyweight Champion,
01:07Mike Awesome, to the ring here in New Orleans, Louisiana.
01:13At 6'6 and 292 pounds, Awesome is the largest title holder in ECW history.
01:25And if he survives this world title matchup tonight,
01:29and that's a huge if.
01:32In two weeks, on Sunday night, November 7th,
01:35at the November to Remember from Buffalo, New York,
01:38he would take on his arch nemesis, Masato Tanaka,
01:43who he has never scored two consecutive pinball victories against.
01:48He has never scored two hundred and ninety two pounds.
01:55He is the ECW Heavyweight Champion, Mike Awesome.

05:07And the overall mood for this extreme evening is fear!
05:12Can you imagine?
05:14Think for one second!
05:16If New Jack were to become this company's flag bearer!
05:21Our World Heavyweight Champion!
05:23It's inconceivable!
05:25And so is the decision by Paul Heyman to grant New Jack an opportunity at our World Heavyweight title!
05:32It would indeed be a public relations nightmare to say the very least!
05:38The matchup came about because the fans demanded it at ECWWestling.com because New Jack had never received a World Heavyweight title shot!
05:47And there's a shot!
05:50Unfortunately for New Jack, he's the one who took it!
05:54The steel corn rail and the chair right to the face!
05:56And immediately the momentum has now swung towards the corner of Mike Awesome!
06:06New Jack took a grave risk because he knows that this is the only time possibly that he'll ever get a shot at the ECW World Title!
06:17I don't think Paul Heyman is going to make this mistake twice!

07:31If Mike Awesome had no idea what he was going to go up against in this match, I think something finally clicked!
07:38The World Heavyweight Champion has two staples in his head! He is bleeding profusely!
07:46And New Jack now has the guitar! He's going to try to finish off Awesome!
