00:00But we got more big action here in Death Valley, Joe.
00:02You know who that is?
00:04LSU.
00:05Is that Death Valley?
00:06Is it Clemson?
00:07Is that Death Valley?
00:08I feel like we got to have a belt today.
00:09Yeah, that's it.
00:10The real Death Valley.
00:10Bring out the belt because we have a top 10 battle
00:13and a top 15 matchup between the Tigers.
00:16Which one is the real Tigers?
00:18Dabo Sweeney and Clemson have been absolutely phenomenal at home.
00:2270-5 overall straight-up record dating back to 2015.
00:262015, that's a 933 winning percentage.
00:30They've been absolutely dominant.
00:31Two losses, though, last year to Louisville and South Carolina
00:35did come at home.
00:36We have to see how they battle this out.
00:38I think when you look at this matchup, Donnie,
00:41the perception is that Clemson is better and more complete
00:45offensively and defensively.
00:47And I don't believe that to be the case.
00:49I do feel that LSU, from an offensive perspective,
00:52has the best wide receiver core on the field.
00:55That should benefit Garrett Nussmeyer.
00:57But, again, if you're going to attack Clemson,
00:59the two losses that I mentioned, South Carolina and Louisville,
01:02both of those teams were able to pound the rock and run the football.
01:05This is an offense in LSU that only averaged 115 yards on the ground.
01:10If Caden Durham and Caleb Jackson can have success,
01:14it could be a long day for that Clemson-Tiger defense.
01:16Let's set the table for this one, too.
01:18At Clemson tonight, 7.30 p.m. kickoff, 219-220 on the rotation.
01:22If you're looking at the side itself, the 3.5s, they're gone.
01:26Oh, maybe it's coming back towards LSU.
01:27It's not.
01:284.5s and 4s out there in the betting landscape.
01:31DraftKings, BetMGM, Bet365, FanDuel.
01:33But look at the total, Joe.
01:34We just talked about a game in the shoe that goes from 50.5,
01:37and let's call it 47.
01:39We now see 56.5s to 57.5s here.
01:42Points are expected, it looks like, here today.
01:44Absolutely.
01:45And when you talk about Cade Klobnik, 36 touchdowns, 6 interceptions,
01:49he's utilized as well in the RPO game.
01:53And this is an offense in Clemson that averaged 173 rushing yards per game.
01:58Is it the same offense, though, when we talk about dominant
02:01with the Deshaun Watson days and Trevor Lawrence?
02:05I don't believe that to be the case.
02:07I think they're a good offense.
02:08I don't believe they're an elite offense,
02:10and that could get exposed by the LSU Tigers' athleticism today.
02:14But again, Cade Klobnik is the X-factor on the ground.
02:17If he could put pressure on LSU's edge, that can open up everything
02:21because LSU struggled with mobile quarterbacks last year.
02:25Marcel Reed, Jalen Milrow, they got exposed in one half as well by Jackson Dart.
02:30The key is to contain Cade Klobnik on the ground.
02:33Now, here, let's start with LSU, and I'm going to go with Garrett Nussmaier.
02:36Obviously, in that Heisman race, we expect certainly big things out of him.
02:39But understand this.
02:40Are we concerned about, Joe, any injury information?
02:43Is he banged up coming to this game, or is that just something that we're reading here?
02:46No, it was a misread.
02:47For everybody I talk to in LSU, he's 100% healthy.
02:51I don't think it's a factor at all.
02:52And when you look at his prop market right now, 290 and a half,
02:56I mean, the market and the books are expecting him to be
02:58at least right on his average of 315 passing yards per game.
03:02It does come down to the rushing attack.
03:04But I mentioned those playmakers for LSU.
03:07It's not just Aaron Anderson.
03:09And Aaron Anderson is the leading returner for that Tigers wide receiver court.
03:14But you bring in Nick Anderson.
03:15You have Trey Daze White.
03:17You also have Barry and Brown that transfers in from Kentucky.
03:21Braun, the tight end from Oklahoma.
03:23You have the ability to have running backs like Caleb Jackson and Caden Durham
03:26coming out of the backfield.
03:28They can attack and stress that defense at every single level.
03:32And that's why I'm completely confused that people believe that Clemson
03:36is the more superior offense.
03:38I just don't see that being the case.
03:40Joe, I'm not a big trend guy.
03:41And what I mean by this, oh, last six times that LSU went on the road,
03:44they didn't cover the spread.
03:45I don't care.
03:45There are different circumstances every single year.
03:47But understand this.
03:48Getting out of the gate at LSU has been somewhat of a struggle.
03:51And what I mean by that is winning football games to start your season 1-0.
03:54We talk about with the Bengals in the NFL all the time, Joe.
03:56Get out to a hot start.
03:57It means something.
03:58Is there more pressure on LSU today to get this win?
04:00Because why?
04:00Brian Kelly can't afford it.
04:02Look, it's a good football game, a top-ten opponent.
04:04It seems like he can't afford a loss here, though.
04:06No, he can't.
04:07And I said this.
04:08I was very high on Brian Kelly being the guy to take over for Ed Ogeron.
04:12Ed Ogeron and that team plateaued to a certain capacity.
04:15Brian Kelly, one of the best game planners in the game.
04:18But you win the SEC West in your first year.
04:21You go 9-3 with Jaden Daniels your second year.
04:24And then all of a sudden, now look at where we are with Garrett Nussmeyer
04:27in an 8-4 campaign.
04:28And they were trending at one point to potentially be a college football
04:33playoff contender.
04:34You can't lose on the road to teams like Florida and, more importantly,
04:39Ole Miss, you know, like you did a couple of years ago.
04:41You have to step up.
04:42And here's the thing as well, Donnie, when we look at this team,
04:46three straight for Brian Kelly neutral sites, two with Florida State and USC.
04:51What happened in all three of those games?
04:53They got out to a very quick first half.
04:55It's been the halftime adjustments for LSU that this staff has failed to make
05:00and why they've lost three straight.
05:02If they get out to a quick start tonight and have a lead,
05:05can Brian Kelly and Blake Baker make the necessary adjustments to close the door?
