00:00When I first got her, she was probably a week old.
00:03I found a lady who had some gosling in the squint, wasn't really standing very well,
00:09and kept falling over on its back, and she was like, yeah, that one's not available,
00:12it's not going to make it. And I said, well, can I take that one home?
00:17I ended up taking squint, one other gosling, and a duckling home just so they had friends.
00:23This is how squint sleeps with his head cricked all the way backwards.
00:28Every time she would take a drink out of the water dish,
00:31she would slam her head to her back and fall over.
00:39I brought her into the vet, and the vet confirmed it was a prior neck injury.
00:42So my goal was to figure out a way to get her to not get stuck on her back.
00:48Finally, she was able to take a drink of water,
00:51and she would still lean her head back, but she wasn't falling over.
00:56Definitely better.
00:58It's not falling over yet. Oh, it's up.
01:02As she got bigger, her wings came in, and that was kind of the other
01:06defining moment for her because she was able to push herself over with her wings.
01:13I just kind of gently bend her head forward. I call it putting her head on straight.
01:17I'm just so eternally grateful for this experience that I've had with her.
01:26And I like to think that she's grateful too.
