Residents in Central New South Wales are experiencing one of the most widespread snow events in years due to an intense polar outbreak.

00:00large parts of the central tablelands have been blanketed in snow this morning stretching from
00:08the blue mountains with reports of the white stuff falling at black heath we've seen snow at
00:13oberon places like cookwell on the southern tablelands and then here in orange as well
00:18where there's been a heavy dusting of snow some of the largest we've seen since 2021
00:23here on mount kanobolos garner bulla kids have been out playing throwing snowballs making snow
00:29men a real positive attitude for the the last couple of days of winter where we've seen
00:35temperatures fall well below zero some of the the real feels minus eight degrees earlier this
00:42morning very cold but people are still getting out and about to brave the conditions the cool weather
00:48it's expected to only last today the weather forecast is looking pretty nice for the rest of
00:52the week but people are getting out and about and enjoying the last couple of days of winter here
00:57in orange with heavy snowfall we saw it in town uh on the one of the local golf courses people were
01:04out throwing snowballs blanketed in snow uh we saw cars on the main street covered in snow so yeah it's
01:11been a very heavy drop here in the central tablelands today in orange uh and other parts of the the
01:18central west as i mentioned before so a really enjoyable last couple of days for for winter for
01:23people here getting out and enjoying the last of it
