00:00 Hello there. We've had quite a cold, wet and windy Thursday, with bands of rain pushing
00:10 northwards across the country, bringing snow over the hills in the north. We've even had
00:15 snow as far south as the Midlands and North Wales on Thursday morning, before this turned
00:19 increasingly to rain later in the day. Throughout Thursday afternoon and Thursday night, rain
00:25 will continue to push northwards, bringing further snow over the hills in the north,
00:28 especially across Northern Ireland, Scotland, Northern England and parts of North Wales.
00:33 Snow is even expected to lower levels across parts of Scotland. As this rain pushes northwards,
00:39 it will drag with it some milder air and that colder air will be squashed further north.
00:43 This means that our snow risk as we move into Friday is going to be largely confined to
00:48 Scotland, mostly over the hills and possibly to lower levels in the north. Further south
00:53 though, it will be a brighter day on Friday. We've got sunny spells and scattered showers
00:57 across England and Wales and it will be a milder day for all. There's a threat of snow
01:02 to start the day then on Saturday, and this will be across Northern Scotland, before turning
01:06 increasingly to rain as it clears northwards. Further south though, it will be generally
01:10 dry, but another area of rain will begin to push in from the south east, so across south
01:14 east England, east Anglia and the Midlands, and this could be heavy, before pushing further
01:18 northwards across Northern England and eastern areas of Scotland as we move into Sunday.
01:23 Dry though, further west.
