During a press conference on Thursday, Hennepin Medical Center EMS Chief Marty Scheerer described the scene following a shooting at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

00:01I'll address that too.
00:02At the scene, that was one of the bigger challenges that didn't go as well as I would like it to.
00:07We transported 17 people.
00:12We were not able to identify all of them right away,
00:14so we were not able to let the parents know right away if their children were injured
00:19or what hospital they went to, and we'll have to figure out a better way to do that.
00:23I think that was very, very challenging, especially for the parents.
00:26I know parents were driving from hospital to hospital to hospital,
00:28and that had to be horrible for them.
00:32So we'll try to figure out a better way to do that.
00:36But that's something that's – because kids don't have IDs on them,
00:40we don't know who they are, and it's just a challenge.
