00:00So my name is Rachel. I'm the proud owner of Bar Flores. We're opening today to the public so it's all very exciting. We offer a nice selection of alcohol hopefully to suit everybody's taste and we're going to be serving grazing boards and looking to progress to tapas in a few weeks time.
00:24Excellent. And so why Bar Flores? What intentions do you come to this area, this sort of theme as well?
00:30So I've lived in Lee for years. This was definitely the place where we wanted it to be. The name comes from somewhere close to my heart in Spain, a place that we visited numerous times called Miraflores which means Sea of Flowers.
00:49And I love flowers as well and I thought well it incorporates a bit of the Spanish memories into a bar in Leon Solent.
00:59I do work full time for the NHS still so it's going to be hard going. That's why we're only going to open the latter part of the week and over the weekend.
01:10Because I'll still be working full time, overseeing the running of the bar and I've worked in a bar probably about 30 years ago but that is my only experience.
01:26So yeah, it's a bit nerve-wracking.
01:29The new water is that exciting?
01:31Definitely, yeah. We'll be learning as we go along and hopefully listening to the people of Lee to see what they want and what is maybe missing that we can bring to them.
01:45Yeah, please come and come and visit. We're going to offer an international bucket of beer. We've got flights of wine which will be served in one of these.
01:58So a smaller selection of wines that are ideal for people to try who may be new to wine. We've got a vast selection of gins. We're going to do some gin cocktails and bottled beers.
02:14And hopefully we are expecting a Victoria Malaga pump soon. So fingers crossed that that will be here with us shortly.
