00:05The Artificial Intelligence Basic Act would establish a set of regulations and basic principles
00:11with the goal of turning Taiwan into an AI island.
00:16The bill would also task the government with promoting AI research and infrastructure development,
00:21as well as offering subsidies and tax incentives.
00:24But the draft bill does not say which governmental bodies would be responsible.
00:30The bill has been submitted to the legislature for review.
