The government has launched a Taiwan-specific AI language dataset to build sovereign AI capabilities that reflect its languages, culture and values. The dataset, managed by the digital ministry, draws from over 200 government agencies and is open to domestic and international developers, aimed at ensuring that Taiwanese data has meaningful representation in AI models and to strengthen Taiwan’s long-term AI self-sufficiency.
