Storms, slowdowns, and sky-high travel demand are all converging on Florida this Labor Day - just as millions head out for the unofficial end of summer.

00:01Well, we all know that Labor Day weekend is a busy time across the country, but that is no truer than here in Orlando. I'm along International Drive, one of the most popular spots in the Orlando area. You can see the very large Ferris wheel over my shoulder. That is called the Orlando Eye. It will be one of the most popular attractions over this three-day weekend. The problem is the weather forecast is not expected to be great here in Orlando. Take a look at some of the video of people dodging the
00:29rain drops and the intense storms that can be a common marker here in Central Florida, especially in the afternoon when those storms really start to fire up. But we're also anticipating a cold front in Central Florida over the weekend. So those rain chances are going to be going up and the stormy conditions are also expected not only through the weekend, but possibly into early next week as well. We did talk to some tourists that have been having a hard time dealing with the Florida heat, and here's what they
00:59they had to say. They'll be doing over the holiday weekend. We're in Universal all day yesterday, so we've got a nice taste of the heat there. Then we're just going to take a chill day today. We have a couple more days. I have a couple of sort of indoor things going like going down to the mall and a couple of different things along here. Just if it does rain, we've got ideas in mind. But I'm just sort of hoping it doesn't rain all that often. And again, remember to pack the umbrella, the ponchos.
01:29the next three to four days reporting from Orange County. I'm Leslie Hudson for AccuWeather.
