Eddie Howe admits Newcastle miss Alexander Isak’s quality

00:06head coach Eddie Howe admitted that his side were missing the star quality

00:11that Alexander Ezek brings to their side in the striking department.

00:15Newcastle drew their opening match of the season 0-0 away at Aston Villa

00:19and were unlucky not to get anything against Liverpool.

00:23But Howe made clear that someone of his quality perhaps would have changed the outcomes.

00:27Yeah, I think, well, definitely the quality of Alex.

00:33I think he would have made a difference in the two games.

00:35I don't think there's any denying that.

00:37But that said, the teams function really well.

00:40And I think the performance of the players and the team in the two games

00:46doesn't happen without every part of the team functioning well.

00:50You can't carry anyone in this division against any opponent.

00:53So, yes, we may be today in that first half needed to score when we were on top.

01:00And goals do change games, as always.

01:03You need all the players to feel that connection.

01:05And I think the supporters create that, really.

01:08And you look at the environment tonight that Liverpool had to play,

01:10and that was an incredible place to play football.

01:12And Middlesbrough have completed the loan signing of Newcastle United left-back Matt Target
