00:02In today's video, I'll guide you through simple breathing techniques that you can do anytime, anywhere to reduce stress and feel calmer.
00:09Why breathing helps, stress often makes our breathing shallow and fast, which increases tension in the body.
00:15By practicing slow, controlled breathing, we activate our body's relaxation response, helping the mind and muscles relax, deep belly breathing, sit comfortably, place one hand on your chest and one on your belly.
00:27Inhale deeply through your nose, letting your belly rise.
00:33Slowly exhale through your mouth.
00:35Repeat this for 1-2 minutes, box breathing, inhale through your nose for 4 seconds.
00:41Hold for 4 seconds.
00:44Exhale for 4 seconds.
00:46And hold again for 4.
00:48This is great for quick stress relief, for 7-8 breathing, inhale for 4 second hold for 7 second and exhale slowly for 8 second.
00:57This technique is especially useful before bedtime, alternate nostril breathing, close your right nostril, inhale through the left.
01:05Switch, and exhale through the right.
01:08Then inhale right, switch, and exhale left.
01:12This balances your mind and body, pursed lip breathing, inhale through your nose for 2 seconds, then exhale slowly through pursed lips for 4 seconds.
01:21This helps you slow down and feel centered.
01:25These simple breathing techniques only take a few minutes but can make a big difference in reducing stress and improving focus.
