00:00Thank you, Shasti. Next up literally is the energizer bunny because he's getting ready to go on a walk across Pennsylvania to walk for transit.
00:13You know, truly putting words into action is Vice Chair Malcolm Kenyatta, who's probably traveled more than any other officer around this country, lifting up our party and our values, Vice Chair Kenyatta.
00:25Thank you so much, Mr. Chairman, and thank all of you.
00:27And, you know, it really has been an incredible time in this incredible city, in this incredible state.
00:34But I think the tragedy this morning that we're all just sitting with right now and processing reminds us of the fact that everything that we're doing,
00:45what my fellow officers just mentioned, whether it's the mass deportations or whether it's the reminding folks who's on the side of working people in this country,
00:55the work that we're doing is not a joke.
00:58This is serious stuff.
01:00And I know that all of us in our journals and talk to the future generation will be asked, what the hell did you do?
01:10And I am so proud to look around this table and know that all of us will be able to answer everything we could.
01:18Everything we could.
01:19And so that's why, to the chairman's point, I'm taking his example.
01:24He's already been to 30 states.
01:25I'm trying to catch up.
01:26And so just thank you for what each of you are doing, for your commitment to this party,
01:33and for recognizing that we're going to decide what the next chapter of the Democratic Party is.
01:40And if you look at these elections that are happening across the country and the victories that we're having,
01:47Democrats aren't sitting back, folks aren't, you know, twiddling their thumbs, they're out, they're running for office.
01:55And as we saw with Senator-elect Dry in Iowa, they are winning seats that nobody said Democrats could win.
02:03That nobody said Democrats could win.
02:05And I know the press will treat this like a footnote, but I will tell you, if there was a Democratic president
02:10and a Republican came and flipped a seat that a Democrat had won just months ago by 11 points
02:16and flipped it by 22 points, it would be the only thing on TV.
02:20So I hope that if press is here, write that damn story about what Democrats are doing,
02:24about the victories that we're having.
02:26And we're having them not just because of the work in this room,
02:30and we're having them because people are not going to let this democracy die on our watch.
02:35And I'm not going to, I'm going to keep saying it.
02:37We are not giving over this country to some Timu dictator with swollen ankles
02:43who thinks that he's going to be a king.
02:46Folks are not going to have it.
02:48They're not going to allow it.
02:49And I'm damn proud to be a part of the party that is standing in the way
02:52of somebody who wants to rip apart what this country is about.
02:56And I'm so damn proud to do it with this team and with the leadership of our chair.
02:59And I just want to say our chair gets a lot of shit.
03:03But he's an incredible leader, and I'm proud to serve with him.
