00:00Hi, my name is Basma Al-Badi. I had the value creation team at Hub 71. As I had the value

00:12creation, what I do is basically bringing in and bridging the gap between the various

00:17stakeholders from capital partners to corporates to government entities and academia all together

00:25to foster the tech ecosystem of Al-Badi. It's not about the title for me, it's not about being,

00:34it's having an influence in terms of having a ripple effect on the impact that you can have

00:40on people. And I think that's the most influence that anyone can do to anyone in life.

00:47Fortunately, we live in the UAE and in the UAE, women are empowered, women are in leadership.

00:54We are being given the space to give influence and impact people's life in various sectors

01:01and roles. And we're very fortunate to be there. If there was one mindset that I would have to let

01:08go of, it's never to underestimate myself. Never underestimate the value that I can bring

01:14and the experience and take on the opportunities based on that and never second-guess myself

01:21from that because I'm capable of doing it. Know your worth and know that your value will have an

01:28impact on other people's lives. Small gestures does have a big impact. Whether that you see it as

01:35insignificant, it does have an impact on other people's lives. My advice would be to value yourself,

01:41build out of your experience, your network, it will get you somewhere that you never thought

01:47it would be possible and go for it.
