00:24يج liv I feel about it now I feel so proud to be a part of this movement
00:30E really proud to have this amazing team of people that are working with me I have
00:33to say this but, from the very outset from the first edition that we
00:37did this event you know we have all broken our backs at the beginning you
00:42know to to get it to the level that we really wanted to get it to but the
00:47partnerships that we've been able to sort of bring together and work on this
00:50particularly the likes of MCIT, of SAF CSP and then DGA and all the other government entities
00:57and major sort of companies that have sponsored us from the very beginning.
01:00That's just been, has really just taken us on this ride from the first edition to where we are now.
01:06It must have, I think, more than doubled, more than tripled probably in size in terms of the square meterage.
01:12and, you know, to get in the upper echelons of over 200,000 sort of attendants
01:21over only a four-day event is beyond what we thought we'd ever really get to in the first sort
01:27of edition.
01:27So I feel very proud. I'm happy. I think the way that the show's going at the moment is really,
01:33really strong.
01:34Remember, we had to move the show from April into September.
01:39Whenever you move a show, it's really difficult because you get lots of companies that just can't make the new
01:43dates
01:43or, you know, you get people that can't come because of the new dates.
01:47The weather is, you know, it's hot in August and September in, you know, in Saudi.
01:52But, you wouldn't know it. You know, you're walking around the show, it's 166,000 meters square, give or take.
02:00And, you know, the first day of attendance was above the first day of attendance last year.
02:10One of the reasons why LEAP is successful is because we have, at the outset, we'd attended many exhibitions
02:20and we'd also attended many tech exhibitions regionally and around the world.
02:25and we knew, we kind of had a gut feeling as to what didn't work and an inclination as to
02:32what really should be happening.
02:34And so, we don't get everything right by any means, but I can tell you that, you know, what we
02:42take very seriously is the entertainment factor,
02:45the buzz factor, the relevancy, the excitement of the conversations, the social aspect of it, we want that to be
02:52right.
02:53And, you know, I think the fact that we invest such a large resource into that is a bit of
02:59a hallmark for us now.
03:00I'll give you an example of this.
03:02I think there's somewhere in the region of 25 people working on the production of LEAP in terms of conference
03:08and content production,
03:09not in terms of building this, but in terms of actually getting the speakers and finding the right ones and
03:16bringing them over.
03:17I could tell you that there's many exhibitions that focus on technology that only have a couple of people working
03:23on that,
03:24because for them, it's a side project. What the central project is, is to sell exhibition space, okay,
03:29a bit of razzmatazz around the outside, and we would never do that.
03:32That's why we spend a lot of money on that aspect.
03:34So, what you will see going forward will definitely be more of the same of that.
03:38Now, what does that mean? That means that you get a relevant output.
03:44The more you put into the content of an event like LEAP, the more you invest in the quality of
03:52the speaker faculty,
03:53and the relevancy of the speaker faculty, the more pertinent and relevant the outcome, the conversations, the talks will be,
04:01okay?
04:02And so, you'll never find us, for example, looking at what another show is doing and saying,
04:07we want that speaker because they've had that speaker, or we'll never do that at all.
04:10We research it thoroughly. We make sure that ours is completely bespoke, and we drown out the noise of what
04:16other people are doing.
04:17And if it happens to be the same in some areas, of course, it's going to be.
04:20But if it is, then fairly, you know, fair enough.
04:22So, you're going to see more content-related activity.
04:25Of course, the infrastructure of the country is booming.
04:30They're building so much for Expo 2030.
04:33I think what you're going to see as well is some really exciting new venues coming online over the next
04:37couple of years in Saudi,
04:39of which I think LEAP will probably be, you know, a participant in some of those venues as well, the
04:44more we stretch out into the country.
04:46And finally, you know, you talked about, you know, the fact that we've done LEAP East.
04:50Well, that's been a really big success, and we've had a lot of countries come to us and ask if
04:54we can do it there.
04:54So, I think probably after this LEAP, we'll need to have a sit down with the guys in the ministry
04:58and ask them whether or not they think we should be doing another one as well.
05:02But we'll see.
05:04Everybody's aware of, contextually, of what's happened in the region from a regional tension geopolitical perspective.
05:12Look around it, okay?
05:16LEAP, Saudi Arabia, they have a strong amount of endurance.
05:21Saudi in particular, Riyadh in particular, is attracting a lot of business despite bad weather, you know?
05:28And I'd say, if beforehand I was saying to you, you need to be here, okay?
05:34You know, that message still applies, but what we're learning from this year is that, you know, people stick here,
05:40okay?
05:41Once they're here, they stay here, they stick here, and the business, you know, keeps going on, rolling on.
05:51All right.
05:51All right.
05:52All right.
05:52All right.
05:52All right.
05:52All right.
