00:00NVIDIA is giving robots an upgrade.
00:03The chipmaker just unveiled its newest robotics module,
00:06the Jetson AGX Thor.
00:08NVIDIA is calling it a robot brain.
00:10The developer kit went on sale Monday for $3,500,
00:14with the first shipments heading out next month.
00:16Companies can use the kit to design and test their robots
00:19before moving to mass production.
00:21And once they're ready for scale,
00:23NVIDIA will sell production-grade Thor modules
00:25called the T5000 at around $3,000 each
00:28if a company orders at least 1,000 units.
00:31Thor delivers 7 1⁄2 times more AI computing power
00:35than NVIDIA's last-gen Orin chip,
00:37while being 3 1⁄2 times more energy efficient.
00:41CEO Jensen Wang says robotics is the company's
00:43biggest growth opportunity outside of artificial intelligence,
00:47and AI has already been a gold mine.
00:49NVIDIA's overall sales have more than tripled
00:52in just the past two years.
