00:00NVIDIA is giving robots an upgrade.
00:02The chip maker just unveiled its newest robotics module, the Jetson AGX Thor.
00:08NVIDIA is calling it a robot brain.
00:10The developer kit went on sale Monday for $3,500, with the first shipments heading out
00:15next month.
00:16Companies can use the kit to design and test their robots before moving to mass production.
00:21And once they're ready for scale, NVIDIA will sell production-grade Thor modules called
00:25the T5000 at around $3,000 each if a company orders at least 1,000 units.
00:31Thor delivers 7.5 times more AI computing power than NVIDIA's last-gen Orin chip, while being
00:373.5 times more energy efficient.
00:40CEO Jensen Wang says robotics is the company's biggest growth opportunity outside of artificial
00:46intelligence, and AI has already been a goldmine.
00:49NVIDIA's overall sales have more than tripled in just the past two years.
