00:00A dispute could soon pull Fox channels off YouTube TV.
00:04YouTube and Fox are in talks to renew their content deal, but negotiations have hit a snag.
00:09Fox is reportedly demanding far higher payments than other partners providing similar programming.
00:15If the two sides can't strike a new agreement by 5 p.m. Eastern on August 27,
00:21subscribers could lose access to popular channels including Fox Sports, Fox Business and Fox News.
00:27And that's bad news for football fans. With the NFL and college football seasons kicking off,
00:32that means customers could potentially miss games.
00:35YouTube says it's pushing for a deal that's fair without passing extra costs on to subscribers.
00:41And if the blackout continues past the deadline,
00:44YouTube TV says it will provide affected members with a $10 credit for the loss of channels.
00:50This standoff comes at a time when streaming platforms are under pressure to balance costs with subscriber value.
