00:00Taiwan's government-run postal service is halting most shipments to the United States
00:05because of new U.S. tariff rules.
00:08Starting Friday, Washington will end tariff exemptions on goods worth $800 or less.
00:15That means every package will now face import charges.
00:18And as postal systems worldwide don't support prepaid duties,
00:23Tsonghua Post says it can no longer handle these deliveries.
00:26It will still send documents to the U.S., but parcels must now go through private couriers like DHL and FedEx.
