00:00Businessman Farhash Wafa Salvador Rezal Mubarak has demanded that Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli apologize

00:07for linking him to an alleged scandal and the recent attack on the former minister's son.

00:12Rafizi said he had received a letter of demand from Farhash dated August 22,

00:17demanding that he also stop repeating the claim which he made in a social media post on August 20.

00:23In his post, Rafizi had denied any links between the attack on his son and former Prime Minister

00:28Ismail Sabri Yaqob or former Health Minister Kairi Jamaluddin. He said the claims were aimed at

00:34distracting attention from the real mastermind behind the attack, which came a week after he

00:39met with informants on a scandal he was looking into involving Farhash and the business killings

00:44of his companies. In the letter of demand, law firm Ahmad Daniel Rubin and Company demanded that Rafizi

00:51take down the postings on all platforms and issue a public retraction and apology on social media

00:57within two days. The former PKR deputy president, however, maintained that his statements were

01:02factual and said he was ready to defend them in court now that the two-day deadline had expired.

01:08Rafizi's 12-year-old son was dragged and stabbed with a syringe at a shopping mall in Putrajaya earlier

01:13this month. Rafizi said he believed the attack was to warn him against speaking out on certain issues.
