00:00This is 21-year-old Brandon Reisner, standing alongside his two parents.
00:16For the last six hours, Brandon has been on the run from police after brutally killing his best friend.
00:30And, as Brandon's parents learn their son is an alleged killer, all they can do is pray
00:36as they patiently wait for their son's fate.
00:40Rachel, Jeremy, if y'all can have a seat out here, would you like to talk in private?
00:50On a cold November morning in 2022, a ditched Toyota Prius would be discovered by officers
01:16in Rome, Georgia.
01:22Why this car was ditched in the middle of a creek is something police were yet to figure
01:27out.
01:28Y'all don't think he's in there?
01:30Nah, I don't know.
01:31Okay.
01:32His son's name's Aaron Davis, he's supposed to be coming to Rome to see some friends and
01:38he's going to Alabama to see his girlfriend.
01:40I don't think he's made there.
01:42Nah.
01:43I wonder why his car is down there.
01:46The crazy thing is, there's nothing, I mean, there was no acceleration, it's almost like
01:50it just...
01:51Just broke off in there or something.
01:53Yeah.
01:54Did it go all the way up in park or something?
01:56Yeah, I mean, there's lights on like it's... but it ain't running, running.
02:01I rode over here to see what was going on.
02:03He was out there changing out the trash.
02:05A tow truck would eventually come and lift the vehicle out from the creek and upon searching
02:10the license plate number they would discover it belonged to 21 year old Aaron Davis.
02:18Luckily, the town of Rome, Georgia is relatively small and officers were already familiar with
02:24the name, so Lieutenant Sailors would give Aaron's father a call a few minutes later.
02:29Aaron's car being ditched is just as much of a mystery to his father
02:53as it is for the police.
02:55However, he did have some useful details he was able to give the Lieutenant following this
03:00call.
03:02The night prior to this footage, Aaron went to visit his longtime friend, Brandon Reisner.
03:08The two had been friends since middle school and their friendship continued all the way
03:12through college.
03:13Aaron had just recently graduated from Brigham Young University, so his over 60 mile travel
03:20to visit Brandon was meant to celebrate the new start to adulthood.
03:25But ever since Aaron had left for Brandon's house, nobody had heard from him and his phone
03:32would go straight to voicemail.
03:37All of these strange mysteries would lead Aaron's father to file a missing persons report,
03:43and an investigation to find Aaron would officially begin.
03:48First and most obviously, police would give Brandon Reisner a call, as he was supposedly the
03:53last person to have been in contact with Aaron.
03:55Hey, I'm Lieutenant Sailor from the police.
03:58You doing alright today?
03:59Yes, I am.
04:00I'm looking for my friend right now.
04:01Yeah, that's what I was calling about.
04:04You hadn't heard from him?
04:05I have not.
04:06I've been calling on him and I've just gone straight to voicemail and I heard he was at
04:10Heritage Park, so that's where I'm at right now, so I'm looking around.
04:14Do you guys know where the car was?
04:16Yeah, it was in a ditch over there.
04:19When's the last time you saw Aaron?
04:21I saw him last night.
04:23About what time?
04:24Well, we started drinking around like 12.
04:28Uh-huh.
04:29He started throwing up pretty bad.
04:31Uh, he told me to leave him alone.
04:33Uh, I guess I woke up around like 1 or 2, and that's when I saw that his car was gone.
04:39Alright.
04:40Well, if y'all hear from him, let us know, okay?
04:42Yeah, thank you for the help, sir.
04:44Alright, bye-bye.
04:45Brandon's story made complete sense.
04:48And he even claimed to be actively looking for Aaron at the time of the phone call, as
04:52any good friend would do.
04:54It seemed like Brandon was clearly the person they needed to speak to further, in order to
04:58get to the bottom of Aaron's disappearance.
05:01So a few hours later, they showed up, unannounced, at Brandon's house, to get more answers about
05:07what happened the night before.
05:09This time, face-to-face.
05:11Hi, what's going on?
05:14I'm Officer Graw, we're the wrong place from and we're following up on all this.
05:17Can you walk me through what's going on?
05:18Just make sure we're all on the same page.
05:20We started drinking around 12 yesterday.
05:23Yeah.
05:24It's you and Aaron, right?
05:25Yeah, me and Aaron.
05:26Okay.
05:27Anyone else for you guys?
05:28And, uh, I had bought some red wine.
05:33Yeah.
05:34And, uh, back here, started drinking red wine.
05:39He doesn't drink too often, so...
05:41Yeah.
05:42He had gone upstairs and was just peeping everywhere.
05:44He was in the toilet.
05:45He was, like, standing up and peeping for someone.
05:48Uh...
05:49And, uh, I went downstairs and he told me he needed a cup of water.
05:53Mm-hmm.
05:54And he doesn't need any help.
05:55I went downstairs, dropped a bottle, cut my pinky.
05:59Mm-hmm.
06:00And, uh, I went to the urgent care this morning, took a shower, went to bed.
06:05Mm-kay.
06:06And then woke up, 1 to 2 a.m., and his car was gone.
06:10Despite Brandon's strange demeanor, Aaron's actions last night connect with the ditched
06:16car and lack of response for the last 12 hours.
06:19If Aaron was a light drinker and got heavily intoxicated, who knows what he could have done
06:23while completely by himself.
06:25So, how long have you and Aaron been friends?
06:27We met when I was a fifth grader.
06:29Okay.
06:30And then, uh, we became more, like, close friends, I'd say, like, around freshmen.
06:37We're still trying to find him.
06:38I don't know.
06:39You know, he may just be staying at a hotel, sleeping off, whatever happened last night.
06:43Yeah.
06:44It doesn't necessarily mean he's in danger or anything like that.
06:46Do you have any problem with those checking inside of him?
06:48No.
06:49No problem at all?
06:50No ferocious iguanas or anything?
06:52No.
06:53You never know, man.
06:55People have all kinds of pets.
06:56The officer would search the house and find some interesting discoveries.
07:01Several doors would be locked, specifically the door leading to Aaron's room where he supposedly
07:07threw up several times.
07:09This was strange, so Brandon would be called inside to help get them up to Aaron's room.
07:15Do you mind coming in here with me so you can just show me where I'm going and all that?
07:18Yeah.
07:19Just makes it a little bit easier.
07:21The bathroom is up there that he was up-chucking in.
07:23I gotcha.
07:24I'll fall over to that.
07:25Oh lord.
07:26Is that what's in the laundry right now, I guess?
07:30Okay.
07:34Officers would notice a strong chemical smell coming from the room and find excessive amounts
07:39of cleaning supplies.
07:41but all of that would mean nothing compared to what they found next.
07:48There's a significant amount of blood next to the bed, too.
07:56Decent.
07:57More than just vomit all the way over here.
08:01Looks like he'd been there a while, but he could have been throwing up blood, I guess.
08:06See all that?
08:07It's weird to be throwing up blood like that.
08:09Not to mention, if he had alcohol poisoning, he wouldn't have been able to get up and move
08:12around this morning.
08:14Especially at 2 or 3 in the morning.
08:17He just poured powder right there, too.
08:20The cops are starting to find the whole scenario awfully suspicious.
08:27The odd story from Brandon.
08:29The puddles of blood in Aaron's room.
08:32The hundreds of dollars worth of cleaning supplies.
08:35It seems as though Brandon sensed the officer's suspicion arising as well.
08:40As when Aaron's room was being searched, he decided to do this.
08:50Oh, my knees.
08:55Keep going!
09:00Hey, don't look!
09:03No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
09:09He jumped the fence.
09:20Head back towards Collinwood.
09:27Somewhere between La Porte and Easton, they'd be in these houses.
09:29Go!
09:30Go up to the house, get in the backyard.
09:32Okay.
09:33Possible 1043 suspect.
09:34Get back towards Collinwood.
09:41Run back towards Aiden.
09:44Give me more units.
09:47Unfortunately, officers lost sight of Brandon.
09:50He officially managed to escape the police.
09:53At least for now.
09:55Desperate for any leads that might aid in finding Brandon,
09:59police began going door to door around the neighborhood,
10:01questioning witnesses who might have caught a glimpse of where he had fled.
10:05During this effort, one officer encountered a neighbor
10:07who happened to be on a call with Brandon's father, Jeremy.
10:11Quickly, the officer took the phone to speak with him directly.
10:14Hey, sir, I'm the tenant's sailor from police.
10:17Hi, I'm Jeremy Reisner, the homeowner.
10:20Yes, sir.
10:21And my, um, Brandon's father.
10:22Yeah, we're probably going to need to talk to Brandon.
10:24Do you know where he is?
10:25No, I thought he was still at home.
10:27Now, earlier, we had told him maybe drive around the areas where they normally hang out
10:31and try to look for him for Aaron.
10:33Okay, we'll keep trying to get hold of him.
10:36We're still about an hour away, working our way there.
10:39Even Jeremy was clueless regarding Brandon's whereabouts,
10:42and seemingly, so was everyone else.
10:45As an entire hour would go by, with Brandon nowhere to be found.
10:54How are you clueless?
10:56I am.
10:57Okay.
10:58Good job.
10:59It's mom.
11:00Okay.
11:01Sorry, I realize you might not be able to answer this question.
11:03I don't know the answer, but now I'm trying.
11:05Is there a suspicion that Brandon was involved in, what, hurting Aaron or something?
11:10There's suspicion of something happening.
11:12Oh, beyond getting drunk and throwing up?
11:15Uh, well, we don't know.
11:17They're lifelong friends.
11:19We called back after the boy's mom called us.
11:23We called back, said, when did he last see Aaron?
11:25He says, I guess he left during the night.
11:27That's all we did.
11:28He went to look for him where the car was reported.
11:32Yes.
11:33Powers, do you have our number?
11:35Yes, sir.
11:36Yeah.
11:37While trying his best to assist the police with the investigation, Jeremy would return
11:41to his house, where he discovered Brandon's phone.
11:45Up until that point, Jeremy had been doing everything he could to help the police track
11:50down his son.
11:51However, after finding the phone, his cooperation came to a sudden stop.
11:56He refused to hand the phone over, leaving police to wonder, had he seen something on
12:01it, or was he hiding something far more unsettling?
12:05But before we get to that, Jeremy is not alone in facing a tragedy.
12:09Unfortunately, it can happen to any of us.
12:12Take Yvette Torres.
12:13She was walking home from work in Philadelphia when a truck struck her without warning.
12:17Morgan & Morgan fought for her in court and won her nearly $12 million.
12:21If you're seriously hurt, your injury could be worth millions.
12:25With over 1,000 attorneys, Morgan & Morgan will fight to give you the best results if you
12:31become their client.
12:32And unless you win, they do it all for free.
12:35In just the past few months, Morgan & Morgan has helped hundreds of people.
12:39One car crash victim in Florida won a verdict worth $12 million.
12:43And another in Philadelphia, $26 million.
12:47That was 40 times more than their insurance offered.
12:50So if you ever got seriously injured, your case could be worth millions.
12:54And it takes only a few minutes to see if you have a case.
12:57You can start your claim with Morgan & Morgan by visiting www.forthepeople.com
13:02slash insanity found in the description.
13:05Or by scanning the QR code on the screen from your phone's camera.
13:08With that said, let's get back to Jeremy, who would go on to discover Brandon's phone
13:13while searching around the house.
13:15This was a huge discovery for the investigation, as it could help trace where Brandon could have
13:20gone off to.
13:21But unfortunately, Jeremy was unwilling to give up the phone to cops until he could better
13:26understand the situation.
13:28After all, Brandon is his son, and he is innocent until proven guilty.
13:33So giving up the phone could be a tragic mistake.
13:36Again, hours go by with no further leads or clues as to where Brandon went.
13:43What Jeremy managed to find on Brandon's phone during this period will forever remain a mystery.
13:49However, when police spoke to him again, his demeanor would shift dramatically.
13:55What's the status?
13:56All right, so first of all, I understand you found his cell phone.
14:00That's right.
14:01You want to turn that over to us?
14:02Maybe.
14:03Okay.
14:04I do.
14:05My gut says yes, but at the same time, I don't know.
14:06Yeah, I mean, we'll probably need to go through it and see at least maybe where he's been today.
14:11There is a significant amount of blood in that upstairs bedroom on the carpet.
14:16But I wanted to be straight up with you.
14:18No.
14:19I'm not going home to find that.
14:20Okay.
14:21I appreciate that.
14:22Do you have a warrant that would include the phone?
14:25No, we'd have to get one at some point, son.
14:27We couldn't go into it without that.
14:29Some texts back and forth.
14:31Maybe something helps then, you know.
14:34I know.
14:35I've seen them, you know.
14:36I know.
14:37I can't promise you that.
14:38No, I know.
14:39Yeah, I don't know what I was in there, son.
14:40I want to.
14:41I understand.
14:42I don't know.
14:43As a father, I understand that.
14:45All right.
14:46Well, yeah, I'm going to keep walking.
14:48Something had changed.
14:51Whatever was on that phone had to be disturbing.
14:55And the officer seemed to have caught on to this as well.
14:59Because he doesn't know what's going on, but he seemed a little shocked that we're at his house.
15:04You know, he seemed respectful in the sense that he was okay with us being at his house
15:08and do what we needed to do.
15:09I couldn't really get a feel for him.
15:11He may just be covering for his kid.
15:13He's got to be.
15:14In having the phone, not being shattered, tells me that his son handed it to him.
15:19So he found a phone, tells us that he found a phone, but doesn't want to give it to us without a certain amount.
15:24Text messages.
15:25It's not fair.
15:27Probably.
15:28He was telling Ray that there were texts there about him asking if anyone had seen anything.
15:33I wonder if those texts were sent since we've been here, though.
15:36These officers were spot on with their theory.
15:39On the phone, Brandon would leave an array of horrifying notes such as
15:45as his scream became a gargle as he swallowed his tongue.
15:49I like dark places where my mind melts.
15:52It feels so good and I feel so cool.
15:55My brains, a waterfall running out of my nose like drool.
15:59I can turn myself on in the blink of an eye.
16:01They notified me as the smartest man alive.
16:04Additionally, he would leave a to-do list following the murder of Aaron.
16:08One.
16:09Schedule last three songs.
16:11This was in reference to his YouTube channel where he would post his music.
16:15Two.
16:16Vacuum.
16:17Three.
16:18Laundry.
16:19Four.
16:20Shower in my shower.
16:21Five.
16:22Take bath.
16:23Tomorrow.
16:24One.
16:25Text Rachel that Aaron threw up horribly.
16:28I think there was some blood in it.
16:30Two.
16:31I woke up and he was gone.
16:33Whether or not these exact messages were what alarmed Jeremy is unknown,
16:38but something on that phone made it clear to him that Brandon had killed Aaron.
16:46And just an hour later, Jeremy would call police detailing that he was with Brandon
16:51and that he was willing to surrender and turn himself in.
16:56So 25 minutes later, Brandon and his parents would arrive at the station.
17:01Here.
17:02We're Brandon.
17:03Rachel.
17:04Rachel.
17:05Jeremy.
17:06Jeremy.
17:07Thank you.
17:08Yes.
17:26If y'all can have a seat out here.
17:27I'm going to take him back there and we'll talk a minute.
17:28Would you like to talk in private?
17:29Yeah.
17:30You need to send somebody out to find a poppy.
17:31Okay.
17:32I'll be right back out with you.
17:33Okay?
17:34Alright.
17:35Anything in your pockets that I need to build up?
17:36Uh, wallet and keys.
17:37I'll take those real quick.
17:38Anything else?
17:39Uh, no.
17:40Sorry about that.
17:41Okay.
17:42Okay.
17:43We'll talk a minute.
17:44We'll talk a minute.
17:45Would you like to talk in private?
17:46You need to send somebody out to find a poppy.
17:48Okay.
17:49I'll be right back out with you.
17:50Okay?
17:51Anything in your pockets that I need to build up?
17:54Uh, wallet and keys.
17:56I'll take those real quick.
17:57Anything else?
17:58Uh, no.
17:59Sorry about that.
18:00Go ahead and have a seat.
18:01Now that Brandon was secured, the detective would sit him down to try and get a basic confession
18:16or any information that might ease the path to conviction.
18:20Alright, like I said, I'm Detective York.
18:23I'm Detective York.
18:24I work here at the wrong PD, of course.
18:26It's here.
18:27Detective York.
18:28Yep.
18:29That's me.
18:30So before we get started, got some paperwork you gotta fill out.
18:33The detective would start the interview by getting Brandon's basic information and contact addresses.
18:38So I'm gonna read you some stuff before we get started, okay?
18:41You have the right to remain silent.
18:42You have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before you are asked questions and have him with you during questioning.
18:48I would like you.
18:49You would like a lawyer.
18:50Okay.
18:51Alright, sit tight for just a minute.
18:55Brandon was smart.
18:57He knows nothing he says in the interrogation room will go on to help him in court, so he decides to keep his mouth shut.
19:06While this is unfortunate for the detective, Brandon's parents are more than willing to have a discussion with him.
19:12So instead, he turns his attention over to them to try and get the information that he's looking for.
19:18What are you looking for?
19:34Thank you.
19:35Thank you.
19:36There's a lot going on right now.
19:37There's a lot going on right now.
19:38Anything that we can do helps you out right now.
19:39I think you probably can't bother you.
19:40I can take you out.
19:41Try to show you.
19:42I can try to show you.
19:43I can try to show you.
19:44You can try to show us the general area, yeah.
19:45Okay.
19:46There's an old cemetery.
19:47Up the hill.
19:48You turn left.
19:49Trendel.
19:50Trendel.
19:51Something like Trendel.
19:52Yeah.
19:53I can try to show you.
19:54I can try to show you.
19:55You can try to show us the general area, yeah.
19:57Okay.
19:58There's an old cemetery.
20:00Up the hill.
20:02You turn left.
20:03Trendel.
20:04Trendel.
20:05Something like Trendel.
20:06Yeah.
20:07We can show you.
20:08This statement from Jeremy was crucial information to track down Aaron's body.
20:13But as valuable as this information is, the detective recognized the importance of capitalizing on the opportunity to gather as much from Jeremy as possible while he remained cooperative.
20:25With this in mind, he shifted his focus to delving deeper into Brandon's personal life before turning to search for the body.
20:33Brandon, we brought him home from college because he had seven anxiety attacks, seven suicidal thoughts.
20:41He was having visions.
20:42We brought him home to make it safe.
20:44He had to get his medications right.
20:46Got a call from Brandon this morning.
20:49Right.
20:509 or 10.
20:51He was asked about one thing about the vomit.
20:54So they got a drink.
20:56He didn't want Dad to find it out.
20:58But there was vomit upstairs in the courtyard.
21:00And that's all we heard.
21:01And then an hour or two goes by.
21:03And the boy's mom calls us.
21:05Or I called him, Brandon.
21:06And they're going immediately after the effort.
21:09He said, well, do you know where Aaron is?
21:13This is home.
21:14Yeah.
21:15Around five.
21:16And we were told to Aaron that we ran away.
21:17And ran away.
21:18And ran away.
21:19Ran away.
21:20Ran away.
21:21Ran away.
21:22Ran away.
21:23Ran away.
21:24Ran away.
21:25Ran away.
21:26Ran away.
21:27Ran away.
21:28Ran away.
21:29Ran away.
21:30Ran away.
21:31Ran away.
21:32Ran away.
21:33Ran away.
21:34Ran away.
21:35Ran away.
21:36Ran away.
21:37Ran away.
21:38Ran away.
21:39Ran away.

21:56essential to approach these claims with a grain of salt, as they may not fully reflect the reality
22:03of the situation. Regardless, police now had an approximate location of where Aaron's body should
22:09be, so all hands went on deck to search the cemetery Jeremy had described. Aaron was found
22:16buried in the cemetery, behind a secluded area in the back of the property. Even worse was that
22:24his body was wrapped inside the very sheets he slept on in Brandon's house. The speculation
22:31had come to an end. Brandon Reisner was a cold-blooded murderer. Right after this discovery,
22:40Brandon was placed under arrest for the murder of Aaron Davis and transported to the local prison.
22:46But the cops found his behavior very unconventional.
22:54He's going to go up to the counter, huh? Let them follow their instructions.
23:10This is his property. You've got an ID in here if you want to.
23:14For me?
23:15No, we're talking to him. You've got your ID in there.
23:18Oh, did he?
23:20Yeah.
23:20Officers stated that Brandon remained eerily calm while being transported and seemed completely
23:28unfazed by the entire situation. And while Brandon had been successfully captured and the case had
23:34seemingly came to a successful conclusion, officers had one tragic duty to complete before the end of
23:41of the day. Break the news to Aaron's parents that their son had been murdered.
23:49Any questions?
23:50Do you hear?
23:51Yep.
23:52I don't know a whole lot because I'm hot.
23:54I'm here to be hot for a search.
23:57I'm here to be specific.
24:02Hang on.
24:06Aaron was a recent college graduate and a good kid with a bright future ahead of him.
24:33His sudden death is nothing short of an evil, horrifying act on Brandon's behalf and justice
24:40had to be served for Aaron's and his family's sake.
24:44That justice would come inside the courtroom.
24:47On July 18th, 2024, Brandon was left with little to no defense for his crimes and his plea to claim
24:54mental insanity was quickly ruled out.
24:57And I have come to the conclusion that justice requires that Mr. Reisner be sentenced on count one
25:06to imprisonment for life without parole. And that's what I'm going to do.
25:09He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole after pleading guilty to the murder
25:16and mutilation of Aaron Davis.
