00:09Zero Emissions Ports North Sea, or let's call it sand ports in short,
00:14is all about helping ports to make the transition towards clean and green shipping.
00:21So it focuses on using zero emission fuels such as green hydrogen or green electricity.
00:29It was a collaboration between five different partners, from Sweden, from Denmark, from the UK and here from the Netherlands.
00:38The emissions by maritime shipping do not stop at the border.
00:42It's a problem for the whole North Sea region.
00:45We need a joint strategy, we need joint knowledge, we need joint technology.
00:51The main achievements of the sand ports project, first of all, was of course the H2 barge one.
01:00We now see the first hydrogen powered vessels, but it was not the only thing that the project achieved.
01:07For example, it's very important to fuel this barge with hydrogen and for that the project also developed a mobile refuelling station.
01:16In Denmark we looked at ferries, ferries that were battery powered, and we looked at how ports can in a very smart way charge these vessels.
01:29All this will contribute as an inspiration to other ports, how to make this transition to more clean and green shipping.
