00:00The number of people who were in hotels was falling under the last government. It was down
00:0447%. If we'd carried on on that trajectory, doing what we were doing, there would be
00:11no asylum hotels now. It would have been solved. This problem wouldn't be here anymore. The reality
00:17is record numbers now arriving in the country illegally. Not a few more, but actually nearly
00:2250% more people arriving in this country illegally, breaking in. More people in hotels than there were
00:29and of those people who break into this country and arrive illegally, less of them are being
00:34sent back. Just 5%. We can't go on like this. People need to know that if they get in the
00:39boats to come to this country, they will be detained and they will be deported, sent back
00:44to wherever they come from or a safe third country.
