00:00As part of this plan the government's announced today, it's also bringing in a strike team
00:06to speed up development approvals. It'll also employ artificial intelligence to help tradies,
00:13homeowners and small businesses cut down the paperwork on the National Construction Code.
00:18The Managing Director of the Housing Industry Association, Jocelyn Martin, says are already
00:23products that use AI to navigate the code? To be able to give that kind of innovation
00:31a boost is something that will really help. It helps the builder navigate the complexity of it.
00:37It provides, it's got the opportunity to kind of pull different sections of the code together so
00:42that they can get a complete answer and it's got the opportunity to kind of add additional
00:47information, maybe like videos or those kinds of helpful pieces of advice to it too. So I think
00:54it's got enormous potential to make things easier and allow builders to get back out on site and out
01:00of the office.
