00:00The first half, though, that was the one thing that a lot of fans have been asking us about.
00:03They've said they didn't know what the plan was in the first half.
00:06Can you explain to them what were you trying to do in that first 45?
00:09I think it's too simple to make that one.
00:12The things that didn't work, but I can tell you I didn't change a bit of the plan in the halftime.
00:18So the plan was exactly the same, just to play with Gustavo in that position,
00:21close to City, coming high and down, trying to find Harrison and Robo in possession
00:26so we can go a little bit more further into the left-hand side
00:29and then find the sole features of play through playing, not through kicking the long balls
00:33and then arriving into the final third with our wingers in one-against-one situations
00:36and then trying to defend high.
00:39I didn't change a bit in the halftime.
00:40It was our application that changed.
00:42What's preventing you from getting results?
00:45Four defeats in a row.
00:46Well, I think right now we're...
00:48I think when we started three years ago, when we had the first game,
00:53we talked about we have been playing hard, doing the job, in the position.
00:57I think the first game was a big shock in terms of our style.
01:00We were open in our transition moments defensively-wise
01:04and it was a game of mistakes and we made more than the position.
01:08And then we started to create that situation with us and around us
01:14that you start to doubt a little bit of where do you pass the ball, where do you move.
01:18And because we have not changed that much in terms of our interpretation of the game
01:21or in terms of the things that we do, I think we are in a tough situation
01:25and it's always really difficult.
01:26As you mentioned today, those beats when you're in the situation that we are in
01:30are going never in your side.
01:33And I think that's the feeling that you...
01:34Today after the second half.
01:36But I think we need also to start to show a little bit more,
01:39especially in the beginning of the games.
01:40We cannot wait until we go down one knee to start to play our game.
01:44Football is so high pressure, isn't it?
01:46I don't think there's any sport quite like football for that.
01:49You're four games into a managerial career.
01:52How concerned are you that you've inherited a team that expects to be winning
01:56and you've lost your first four games?
01:58How concerned are you?
01:59Well, definitely I'm in the situation that I want to be right now talking to you.
02:02That is for sure.
02:04I know the profession.
02:05I know I have been in the game more than 18 years as a professional in coaching teams
02:10and sometimes it goes from the very beginning in the way that you want it,
02:14sometimes not.
02:15I think the difference you make is in how hard you work every day and how...
02:18Because I know I make mistakes.
02:20I'm the first one to make mistakes.
02:21But I know also I give myself the 100%.
02:23And sometimes it's not good enough, like it's happening right now.
02:27And sometimes it is.
02:28And sometimes it's exactly the same, but all of a sudden the things connected
02:31and then you find that moment that changes your dynamic.
02:34So if you ask about if I'm concerned about myself or concerned about the situation,
02:38I'm not concerned.
02:39I know this team has football, passion, intensity and togetherness and obvious
02:44to change the situation and then go back on track.
02:47Obviously, it's not the situation that we wanted.
