KL Sentral-Kluang electric train service to start on Aug 30

00:00Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad will officially launch its Electric Train Service 3, or ETS3,

00:08connecting Kuala Lumpur and Kluang on August 30, says Transport Minister Anthony Luk.

00:14The new service will operate on the KL Central-Kluang-KL Central route.

00:19Tickets will go on sale starting August 23 at 8pm via the KTMB mobile app,

00:25ticket kiosks and KTMB's official website.

00:28The announcement came after the launch of Laman Rel Makota,

00:32which was officiated by His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia.

00:37The 2.8km public park sits beneath the Gemas Johor Bahru electrified double-track viaduct.

00:44Earlier, His Majesty launched ETS3 in Kuala Lumpur

00:47and even took the driver's seat to test-drive the train's southern route,

00:51arriving at Kluang Station around 11.15am.
