00:00You know, I went to Union Station in Washington, D.C. yesterday.
00:05Anybody here ever been to Union Station?
00:07Okay.
00:08It's a beautiful, beautiful building.
00:10Really a monument to American greatness.
00:12I was walking around, I was looking up at it.
00:14These beautiful high ceilings.
00:16It looks like something out of a fairy tale.
00:19And I remember that two years ago, when I took my kids to Washington, D.C.'s Union Station,
00:24I actually had a crazy person screaming at my three-year-old kid.
00:30Because, for some reason, and I never understood this,
00:34American leaders decided it was compassionate to allow people to fester on the streets,
00:40yelling at our young families, instead of giving them the medical care that they need
00:45and getting them off the streets.
00:46Which, by the way, makes it easier for us to all enjoy these great public spaces in our country.
00:51And I haven't been to Atlanta in a little while, at least now with the Secret Service detail.
00:56I haven't walked around Atlanta in a little while.
00:58But I bet that as great as Atlanta is, and as beautiful of an American city as it is,
01:05there are places in Atlanta where you wouldn't take your family today.
01:09Is that correct?
01:10Just like in Washington, D.C., the national capital of the greatest nation in the history of the world,
01:16there are no-go zones where you would not take a young family or you would not take young children.
01:21And that's true, I'm sure, all across the state of Georgia, all across our country,
01:26because our leaders decided that they would make our streets safe for criminals
01:32instead of safe for the people who pay our taxes and keep our communities going.
01:36And I think that, of all the things that I'm most proud of the president,
01:40the thing that I'm most proud about is that he finally put the government to work for the people
01:45who actually make this country function and run in the first place.
01:48We're cutting taxes for American taxpayers.
01:51We're securing the border.
01:53We've got 99% reduction in illegal border crossings in this country
01:57because we've got a president who empowered Border Patrol to keep us safe.
02:01And we've got a president who's standing with law enforcement to make it easier to clean up our streets,
02:12to make them safe for our young families.
02:14If you're a person, I don't care what your political party is,
02:17but if you're a family and you want to take your kid to a nice meal in downtown Atlanta,
02:22that's about a 40-minute drive, take your kid to a nice meal in downtown Atlanta,
02:26you ought to be able to without being harassed by a criminal.
02:29We've got to take America's streets back for the American people,
02:33and that's what the president of the United States is doing every single day.
02:42And as a person who grew up in a family where we often struggled with money,
02:46you know, it is never the rich people that lack public safety in this country.
02:51When we go to war against our cops, when we flood the border with illegal immigration,
02:55when we close down great American factories,
02:57it is the people the Bible calls the least of us
03:00that struggle the most and hurt the most.
03:03So I'm proud to be here as your vice president.
03:05I'm proud to be here as a representative of President Trump.
03:13But I'm most proud that we have an administration that is making it easier,
03:23whether you're rich or poor, to walk down the street with a semblance of public safety.
03:28I'm most proud that we're fighting for the jobs of the people behind me
03:32and the jobs of every single working person in this country,
03:35and we're fighting to make sure that you pay low taxes
03:38instead of a bunch of garbage to the federal government.
03:40I'm proud that we serve an administration that cares more
03:44about American citizens and our public safety
03:47than giving Medicaid and Medicare to illegal aliens,
03:50which is what John Ossoff wants to do.
03:51In other words, I'm proud that the kind of family that made me who I am,
03:56finally, has a representative and a fighter in Washington, D.C.
04:00I promise you, we'll keep on fighting for you every step of the way.
