00:00So the third time is a char, three finals and now their first event win since season 3, give the win in Sassnitz to the French.
00:15The Germany SAIL Grand Prix in Sassnitz has just come to an end with an incredible victory from team France.
00:22I am here with SAIL GP's CEO, Russell Kutz.
00:25Russell, what a drama-filled, action-packed weekend. What were some of your key takeaways?
00:31Well, I think the crowds were amazing. Yeah, that's the first thing.
00:36We were all, I think, impressed with the area. Sassnitz and Bins are amazing places to visit, so I'd encourage anyone to come here.
00:47I heard even we've signed a two-year deal with them for the future. Is that true?
00:52Yeah, it is. Yeah, we'll be back here again for the next few years and I think it's fantastic.
00:58Everyone was pleasantly surprised by how good the venue was and, yeah, looking forward to the next years.
01:04I think it was a great event and a great launch for SAIL GP in Germany.
01:08With so much adversity and so much challenges this weekend with the crashes on board, what can you tell us about the tech team and all the work they've put behind it?
01:18Well, it was amazing to get the, you know, Emirates GBR back on the water for the final day. Incredible effort by the tech team and, you know, I think it shows that this is a real team effort to put these events on and, you know, I think everyone was amazed actually.
01:33When we saw the damage, there weren't many people that thought that boat would be on the water today and it was. So, yeah, full credit to the tech team. Amazing job.
01:43It was miraculous to see that we got Emirates GBR back on the water. But if we can talk about Mubadala Brazil and Team USA, they have a bit more major repairs to be done. Do you have any of the latest information on when we can see them on the water next?
02:02I think there's a good chance Mubadala Brazil will be racing in Saint-Tropez. So that's great news. The US boat is a bigger repair, but we will do everything we can to get that boat on the water as soon as we can. You know, hopefully the Saint-Tropez.
02:20All right. Heading into Saint-Tropez. It's a favorite of the tour. Do you have any predictions going into it?
02:26Yeah, I mean, the amazing thing is that we've had six different teams win events this year with France winning this latest event. So it's wide open.
02:36You've got obviously the top three teams, Australia, New Zealand, Emirates GBR and Spain close behind. But now France is knocking on the door. I think they've got an outside shot of making the podium at the end of the year.
02:54Amazing. Thank you so much for your time, Russell.
02:56Thank you.
02:57Thank you.
