00:00Childcares are on notice.
00:0529 have been named across the country for failing to meet national standards.
00:10Western Australia has the most centres on the list of any jurisdiction.
00:15But 5 of the 11 in Perth have been taken over by new service providers
00:19since the National Quality Standards Check was completed.
00:23It doesn't come as a shock for some.
00:26One former early childcare teacher told the ABC after working in centres across Australia,
00:31it was only after a stint in WA that she decided to quit the profession.
00:37There was no yet consistent routine within the day.
00:40Everything seemed to be at hock. Nobody knew what they were doing.
00:43One day I actually came home in tears, shaking and crying.
00:47That's my experience as an adult. I can't imagine what it's like for young children.
00:51I welcome the Federal Government's tough stance on providers to lift their game.
00:57The safety of children is paramount.
01:00The early childhood minister says with more centres to be named in coming weeks,
01:04she's not concerned about WA making up more than a third of the list.
01:09I don't think that 11 in Western Australia is an indication that we have any more challenges than any other system.
01:16So I'm pleased that the publication of this list has identified the centres that need work to bring them up to the necessary level.
01:24And I'll trust that the authorities will ensure that that work is done as soon as possible.
01:28The Australian Child Care Alliance's WA branch has urged the public not to panic,
01:33as some of the providers were assessed as far back as 2020.
01:38So when the public often has various concepts,
01:46for those who've appreciated their canal is,
01:52they have no need to know if they start to help.
01:55There's no need to be any path based on their biological cell nice pode,
01:59so you can see there's alternate customs.
02:01The estable địк has surrounded by people in the United States.
