As for those wild promo moments, Trey Parker explained at Comic-Con that the trailer wasn’t tied to any real episodes. Week-to-week writing and summer marketing meant none of it was planned, so while Randy’s ketamine micro-dosing might feel like a nod to the promo, it’s really just a coincidence—and fans are reacting with a mix of disappointment and surprise online.

01:27At Comic-Con, the creators explained that the trailer wasn't tied to any real episodes.

01:31And we made a promo. We did this thing. South Park's come by the side and it showed a whole

01:35bunch of clips. We made it all up just for the promo.

01:38So while fans were excited to see Quote Butters being an air traffic controller when it was first

01:42shown in February and Randy's recent ketamine microdosing and sycophancy may look like a

01:47reference to the promo, it's really all just a coincidence. New comments now appear under the

01:52promo video after the creator's recent announcement. One comment read, the fact they said this whole
