00:00Now it's to sit down with Taylor Kitsch. Hi Taylor. Let's dig right in. Your new show,
00:05The Terminalist, Dark Wolf. It's a prequel to The Terminalist, which came out in 2022.
00:10Tell us what we need to know going into the premiere.
00:13Honestly, it would be great if you did watch season one,
00:15just with the brotherhood and that situation and the relationships,
00:19which is what I think drives season one. But what you have to know, I don't know.
00:25I don't think there's one thing. Just be open and enjoy the ride, really.
00:30I need to know that you can find the brakes.
00:36There are no brakes.
00:37We have some new and old faces making appearances, including Chris Pratt.
00:41How is catching up with him when you get back on set?
00:44Even day one, chemistry was never forced and he's a very genuine guy.
00:50He does honestly root for you to win on and off set.
00:54I don't know. It's just been a very easy day with him shooting and off camera.
00:59And when he asked me if I'd consider going and doing this whole Dark Wolf part of Ben
01:05and diving into that, it was just another chance to work with him and this amazing team too.
01:10So it's been an amazing ride.
01:14It seems like you're drawing more serious roles and salt of the earth type characters.
01:18Does this mean in real life you're a lovey-dovey goofball?
01:21I'd like to treat life lightly for sure and have a good laugh.
01:26I don't know. I'm always chasing adventure.
01:28Fly fishing, camping or photography or motorcycle riding.
01:33I love doing that kind of like big escape adventures are kind of what I've dialed into,
01:38especially of late. We just motorcycled Spain two weeks ago.
01:43So I love it.
01:45I know you're close with your sister. How would she describe you?
01:49Oh, man.
01:50Um, well, I have two sisters, but I'm guessing, uh, you're talking about Shelby.
01:56She's actually quite like me. So adventurous, risk-taking, risk-seeking,
02:02and caution of the wind kind of thing.
02:05I feel like my sister might describe me as a pain.
02:08Yeah. I'm sure she'd throw that in there. Maybe I can be very protective for sure of them.
02:15You call Montana home these days and you started a nonprofit out there called Howlers Ridge,
02:20which has a beautiful and important mission.
02:22What are your hopes and dreams for its future?
02:24Yeah. Howlers Ridge.org.
02:27This is a hundred percent veteran bill.
02:30We have two full-time vets on now.
02:32We're about to build the last structure, which is the main lodge that literally is over this ridge.
02:38I think dealing with trauma or whatever problem it is, it's very subjective, right?
02:45So I think you're always just aiming to make a positive difference in someone's life,
02:50either small or big. We can't promise anybody anything except an environment that'll promote change.
02:58We know you chose not to return for the reboot of Friday Night Lights, which is understandable.
03:03What advice would you give to the reboot's cast as someone who has lived through being on such a fan
03:07favorite show?
03:08Have fun. Don't worry about if it's going to be big or not. Just take absolute ownership of whatever
03:16character you're given. Take risks and enjoy it because it's not going to last forever.
03:23But is Texas forever?
03:25Yeah. Texas forever.
03:26Okay, finally, we're going to put 10 seconds on the clock. Tell everyone why they should watch
03:33the Terminalist Dark Wolf. Chris Pratt, myself, Tom Hopper, Luke Hemsworth are in it. Character-driven,
03:40action-packed, incredibly authentic, with twists I guarantee you will not see coming. Enjoy the ride.
