00:03:33uh so for a lot of these i didn't want to have it where like we have multiple options from the
00:03:38same show there'll be like a couple uh one big play in and then we'll have i pick what i would
00:03:43assume is the consensus number one from a lot of these shows and we can talk about it more in
00:03:46something like the chain games uh so first up it is the five seed versus the two seed or 12 seed
00:03:52the 12 seed is it's i do not like this show but he's probably one of the most suggested options
00:03:58that we had when i put up the call out it's nick miller i'm not a new girl guy i'm not a big new
00:04:02girl guy i never never got into it i think it's just i don't like zoe de chanel at all i was gonna
00:04:06say if you don't like zoe de chanel and even if you like zoe de chanel season one's a tough watch
00:04:11yeah they they tinker with her character quite a bit by season two it's funny because of the male
00:04:17character like it's one of the first sitcoms it's like new girl and like it's a female lead and i
00:04:24actually think she gets overhated in it but it is kind of funny like it is funny mainly because of
00:04:29the male yeah it's it's it's nick and schmidt for sure yeah and winston i think is one of the actually
00:04:34most underrated sitcom characters of all time i completely agree like the last two or three
00:04:39seasons he gets a little too goofy they get a little goofy yeah is there an emphasis on the
00:04:44romance and new girl where we're yeah that's right i would percentage as a normal sitcom it's
00:04:49basically rachel and ross i would say more or less is nick and zoe and then but then you also have
00:04:55cc and schmidt like there's there's a yeah i would say it's a full-on like there's there's plenty of
00:05:00romance and it matters i've only i've never purposely watched it i've watched it in the periphery because
00:05:05girlfriend and last now fiancee watched it a lot but uh i mean there's a lot of very funny scenes
00:05:09schmidt's i think schmidt's very funny schmidt and nick miller are two i think top tiers between
00:05:14them two if i had to pick one though out of new girl it would be nick miller right that's who i
00:05:18would pick i think plenty of people would pick schmidt but i would pick nick i would i would pick
00:05:21nick over i would i might put winston one but i would pick nick over schmidt gotcha and i think
00:05:28progressive as hell by the way very cool tom yeah yeah yeah i stand uh and that's going up
00:05:38against a what i would say is a buzzsaw but i don't know how you guys will feel about it number
00:05:42five seat selena meyer from uh veep man veep and see like tommy i don't know if you've watched me
00:05:48i've watched like two or three episodes i've thought it's very funny i just haven't like
00:05:52hunkered down to watch i haven't been like i'm going to it's it's on my list but i haven't
00:05:57hunkered down yet but same but i've seen enough episodes to know i just feel like she controls
00:06:03any scene she's in and she's in a scene with like 10 other comedy juggernauts yeah and it's
00:06:08pretty impressive that's very true selena meyers is like one of the funniest characters ever just
00:06:12like an unbridled piece of shit like absolute asshole and uh every scene like i think it's a
00:06:17great way to describe her like she's in scenes with all these guys who are like really really good
00:06:22trying really hard and they have more leeway to be like goofier characters and she's still
00:06:26crushing yeah it's it's probably the show outside of sunny that i've watched the most like it's veep
00:06:32i'm constantly watching veep at whatever like if i if i don't know what's put on i put on tv i just
00:06:38put on who's uh it's veep that uh he says he's shitting clits yes yes yeah yeah timothy simons
00:06:44sitting shitting clits yeah from what i've seen of veep i mean she's obviously very funny but so are
00:06:50buster bluth and the redhead guy yep yep uh matt walsh and uh shoot tim tony hale yeah yeah um
00:06:59am i voting first uh yeah you go ahead first i mean i've seen more new girl so i have to go nick
00:07:04miller but i am gonna hunker down and watch veep it does seem very fun like i did it's top on my
00:07:09list as well i jokingly said one time like i can never watch veep because it's a female lead and
00:07:14people here got very upset i was i was kidding for the record i mean you're just talking about
00:07:19watching new girl yeah yeah yeah i do i'm sure it's very funny but nick miller is he's just an
00:07:25all-time he's an all-time great character it's also i remember that tweet from you uh it's funny
00:07:31because you you said something along the lines of like you need to be able to relate to a character
00:07:34which is partly true for sure i mean it absolutely enhances the experience but you you are gary i i've
00:07:43been told that that's buster blue yeah yeah yeah and it's not selena meyer selena meyer is dave in
00:07:49this situation but like all right water bottle i'll watch it like that right so you sent me that
00:07:55water bottle clip the other day oh god yes like he spends like two minutes of a scene trying to open
00:08:02a water bottle for selena meyers like he has like a go-bag background it's awesome it's it's dude that
00:08:07scene is so goddamn funny i think it's from like season seven it's it's a full two-minute scene and
00:08:13you can never really see uh gary and he but you can just see him fiddling with a water bottle

00:08:23it's insane how that that show went like what seven or eight seasons and like seven i believe
00:08:26yeah and every season's great yeah they're all good not really any fall off at any particular
00:08:31season either um but it's so good so you're gonna go with nick miller fights

00:08:59encompassing yeah i'll go selena just because tommy went nick and i'll keep it even um but they're
00:09:09both they're both on my mount like top tier they're as good as you can get i think i would go with selena
00:09:14as well um just because like like it's a funnier i think she's funnier like a better overall character
00:09:21like i feel like nick is it's almost like not like cheating but like he gets to play off a lot of
00:09:25other people yeah a lot and selena has to lead scenes and other people have to play off her
00:09:31and uh she's just so good fucking louis drive is amazing um so i'm gonna go selena meyer i would
00:09:37have went selena meyer as well uh nick miller's great in as much as i've seen of him um i think
00:09:45it's heavy on being charming and like fuckable it's also i'm being relatable and like yes selena
00:09:51doesn't even have that crutch to lean on like she's got to be the president literally no one
00:09:56can relate to that yeah but like everything nick does you're like i know i get that bro yeah
00:10:01does selena ever get like humanized or is it more just for laughs i wouldn't say she really gets

00:11:24so who's the best and who's the second best is what we're looking for here uh we can start with
00:11:29you own like who do you think is the best that deserves a three seed in this i don't think it's
00:11:33what was sunny main five it's really i really don't want to go first two votes like now and we
00:11:40see who who are most yeah i think that works yeah you're you're number you're number one and number
00:11:45two character tally them up all right it's really hard i know my number one i'm torn on my number two
00:11:51i know my one my one's dennis oh my one's frank i'm going frank too yeah i think i mean obviously season
00:11:59one it's season like it's hard to compare that to the rest of the show but it was just such like a
00:12:04bolt of energy adding him to the show it's such a different beast with him um and he's so fucking
00:12:10funny um i think i don't know on rewatches i respect d a lot dude she's so funny the physical
00:12:20stuff is really funny i i loved a tweet this year because it's always funny this year if you're not
00:12:26keeping up is one of the best seasons i gotta catch up on like the last five or six yeah it's
00:12:31as good as they did the underage drinking like recap like uh no there's been one more since then
00:12:37and that one was great too okay it was uh frank's the golden bachelor yeah and they don't know how
00:12:45they're gonna do hometowns so they start rehearsing how they're gonna do the hometown dinner but they do
00:12:51it in front of a theater or in front of a focus group so a focus group is watching them try and
00:12:56have dinner it's unbelievable i think the last one i saw was when dennis was getting like killed off
00:13:02quote unquote yeah yeah oh so you're way back yeah you're a couple i think i was in college still
00:13:06like how many have they made since then i'm up for this new season but i've only seen the first one
00:13:10on abbott the which i liked and i and i don't even know abbott i actually thought i rolled my eyes
00:13:16when they were great when they did like the full waves of 9-11 at the lunch table it all comes back
00:13:24to 9-11 eventually arabs are buying buying golf golf's not for sale it's it's great so who would
00:13:33you say your top two um i wanted to say shout out to d just uh to get the points of bringing up a
00:13:40woman and then i'll probably go charlie charlie as your one no uh frank one
00:13:46charlie too frank as a one charlie as a two i actually i kind of think i might say mac one i
00:13:53think mac is really really funny like not as rich of a character i think uh as some of the other ones
00:13:59but like everything he says makes me laugh like everything he says makes me laugh and it's just
00:14:03his delivery it's kind of gotten like a little bit i think people talk about a lot the ryan reynolds
00:14:08relationship has tainted him a bit but like his especially in those first like five or six seasons he
00:14:13really is such a star i mean he gets fat like it's so funny yeah i'm housing the chalupas and just
00:14:18like wheezing like it's it's so like always thinking that he's the best when he's like the
00:14:24work like i'm accumulating mass like it's some of that character just kills me every time so i'm
00:14:29gonna say mac one and i think i'd say dennis two wow um because i dennis is amazing he he is
00:14:36they're they're i do feel wrong leaving off dennis leaving off dennis i i think i'm gonna too
00:14:43really i think i have the same list as you i think it's frank charlie but everyone on this show
00:14:48is so fucking good yeah so fucking funny it's putting hairs it's it's it's it's crazy to have

00:15:00the earlier the i saw a tweet this season that just said um what caitlin olsen is doing with
00:15:07physical comedy is stuff we haven't seen since bugs bunny yeah when she runs head first into the car
00:15:14and dance it and that's real like that's a real thing that just it was an accident they didn't
00:15:18mean to do that it's so funny i didn't know that i didn't know that when she does the the obama
00:15:23impression every time it's like tears tears laughing what's up with congress y'all
00:15:27so i don't know what we're gonna do because my one two is gonna be dennis and mac so we're all
00:15:33we're all i mean again they're all five are incredible just dennis has so many scenes of like
00:15:38you know the dennis system yeah and the implication on the boat like those are some of the ones that
00:15:44stick with me the most those are true dennis probably does have most of sunny's iconic scenes
00:15:49yeah so that's a great point that's a that's a that carries and again mac i think just the subtle
00:15:54like listen i love charlie and frank and charlie like charlie word

00:16:01got the more iconic episodes like charlie work i think is a masterpiece yeah it might be one i
00:16:07yeah the night man i mean the play was one of their top early moments uh the scene where mac and
00:16:12or mac and charlie get interviewed for like the job interview as that was one is so good
00:16:18they just brought a picture of bruce jenner yeah that's that's their that's what we're going for
00:16:23today that's punk rock man uh another great episodes being frank oh crap his pov that rules
00:16:31dude i love like the feeling like he's in a video game looking for the pills in their bathroom

00:21:20chandler's the it's i think chandler yeah joey's the only other one i think would make it when you're
00:21:24a kid you like joey when you're an adult you like chandler i like i like that that's what i just said

00:21:50starting with you tommy i think i gotta go chandler i think again i i'm it's unfortunate that i'm
00:21:56letting people um ding ron swanson for me but i do think chandler is great great delivery dry and
00:22:03it's hard to stay i mean it's hard there is truly no main character in friends i guess
00:22:07rachel and ross but i'm going chandler i don't think i've ever told you this that there's a
00:22:13one of my friends he got he or i have a friend group where there's a rachel and ross dating each
00:22:19other and i find that so fucking insane it's insane to me like the chance that they found each
00:22:23other uh fights uh i've never i've seen friends i've seen you know enough of it as any person
00:22:30who grew up with tbs but um because i haven't seen it like everyone else has um i go ron ron i think
00:22:37between the two like chandler is definitely the better character and is aged probably better than
00:22:42that ron swanson style of like i want 500 eggs you didn't hear me i find like that definitely aged a
00:22:48little better but like i personally liked ron swanson more so i think i'll go with ron swanson

00:23:01seed versus our uh we have a interesting playing game uh so the playing game is basically everything
00:23:07that i wrote down that i couldn't get into there because i didn't want every option like
00:23:11you're basically just all options from four shows so one being leon black from kirby enthusiasm
00:23:17all-time great to me steve janowski from eastbound and down that's so fucking funny
00:23:23so good god uh schmidt uh which we had just talked about uh tracy morgan obviously from 30 rock
00:23:31dr cox from scrub is very funny very good character kramer elaine costanza oh costanza's not on
00:23:40costanza wait did i put am i crazy did i not include did i put jerry on here but not costanza
00:23:46i should have i'm gonna double check on that uh red foreman i'd be hip to swap that yeah second
00:23:51yeah uh red foreman another one uh joey trippiani dwight schrute because i thought between dwight
00:23:59and michael michael's on you not to tip too much between michael michael's the one yeah between
00:24:04michael and dwight it's gonna be michael yes schrute has kind of been offerman also aged
00:24:09offerman in the fud or whatever moira from schitt's creek which is more of a niche one
00:24:14but she got a shit ton of votes a lot of people like moira i i think schitt's creek is that one
00:24:19of our more i could not agree more if if anything else was out i don't think we would love it i like
00:24:26it it's a good show i enjoy it i think katherine harris unbelievable dan levy's great but i have gone
00:24:32to back to watch it since 2020 ended and i'm always like that's not really how i remember i've watched a
00:24:37couple and i i couldn't get couldn't get into yeah uh andy dwyer also on there april ludgate uh
00:24:44rafi from the league love the league that's tough because he's not a main character he's john ralphia
00:24:50yeah yeah he kind of becomes a main character though in like the later seasons he also like that uh
00:24:55jace manzoukis has like roles in so many good sitcoms yeah he's in parks and rec is like the perfume
00:25:00guy he's hysterical parks and rec brooklyn 99 he's hilarious like damn yeah has he never gotten
00:25:05like not a mean i don't mean i don't know what he's done at all since those sitcoms ended seem
00:25:11like a few random things now and then he just kind of plays that same hyperactive guy more or less on
00:25:17an eight ball yeah basically um so yeah to am i really am i this fucking stupid that i didn't
00:25:23included any seinfeld option i don't know if that means that we shouldn't include any seinfeld option
00:25:28then is that what that we should do then i mean if costanza's not on there he's getting my vote easy
00:25:33yeah so let's let's say costanza's not on there i'm definitely gonna have to add him back in when
00:25:38i do the actual bracket because that's crazy that i must have been waiting to add in a jerry and then

00:38:56forever he the best thing about him i think is that and i honestly think it helped me with mascots
00:39:03is like i used to watch sunny i'd watch it and i would re-watch immediately the same episode
00:39:09just to watch frank's facial reactions yeah because he's always doing something crazy and
00:39:16like even when he's if he's not talking it like it doesn't matter he'll always have like a
00:39:19and there's like some weird face and that would kill me it was so funny it was so unnecessary like
00:39:25yeah and he just he was so fucking good at it um and still is obviously he is alive um but it's frank

00:40:19talk about sunny we're getting into sunny with him and like is there anything that you wouldn't do
00:40:24like have you ever said no to something in a script like because you do a lot of crazy shit
00:40:28and he tells a story where he goes all right there was one time
00:40:31he goes he goes like the script for the day i'm in the car and i'm reading it and he's like
00:40:38and the first thing that happens to me is i just get raped
00:40:41right and he goes and then oh no he goes to jail for some reason and the first thing that happens to
00:40:48him in jail is he gets raped and so then he becomes a white nationalist and becomes a nazi
00:40:55so he can stop getting raped by everyone else in prison but then he realizes the initiation
00:41:01to being a nazi is he has to get raped
00:41:03gets raped by the nazis and then they realize that something went wrong and his prison yeah he
00:41:11gets out of prison but in order to get out of prison he's gotta get raped by the guards
00:41:14and he said he's in the back of like a suburban on his way to set and he's steaming mad he's like
00:41:21this is insane i've done everything for these fucking guys why the fuck with i'm not getting
00:41:25raped to 10 times and he calls him up and he's like you guys are out of your mind i'm not getting
00:41:29raped fucking a bunch of times in the show and they're like read the whole script frank or read
00:41:33the whole script danny and he's like i write the whole script read the whole script danny and when
00:41:40he's getting raped by the prison guards at the end of the episode one of them whispers into his ear
00:41:44april fools danny and he's telling us the story he's like i didn't know they'd write a whole fake
00:41:51script just about me getting raped that's a funny concept yeah and then after the episode after the
00:41:59interview the disney people came up to us and they were like yeah we can't have all that in a
00:42:05dumbo interview but honestly but they were cool they were like can you just cut all that and just put
00:42:10it in a different episode different thing yeah but yeah sure so we actually like two weeks later
00:42:16dennis came on and we just put we played him that clip and it was funny because i remember that i
00:42:22remember he was pissed that's so funny uh so it's all frank right now yeah frank i mean i would like
00:42:28to give some love to brooklyn 99 very underrated i feel like post like seinfeld friends era any show
00:42:35that even post like the office i think a comedy in the 2010s that's stuck that premieres on like
00:42:41one of the big basic cable channels i just don't think is going to be as funny yeah i don't know why
00:42:46like like an abc or nbc whatever fox comedy like well that's not gonna be as funny as like something

00:49:36show now tries to have their own michael scott and that gets a little exhausting um where i don't know

00:49:49like being irritated by like you could say dennis is a costanza you know i mean like he's irritated
00:49:55by everything around him the slightest grievance is the biggest thing
00:49:59yeah i'm going costanza still one for costanza i would go for costanza as well over scott i i like
00:50:08michael scott a lot i think costanza's more stood the test of time to me anyway i would agree with
00:50:15that um again like tommy these are two of the best i'm gonna go costanza simply because my favorite
00:50:25michael scott scene is not a funny scene oh it's the scott's tots or no my favorite michael scott scene
00:50:31is when he comes back from survivor man and he's been in the woods and jim's been trying to run the
00:50:37office and he tried to change birthdays and and michael scott sits down next to him and he's it's the
00:50:44not the only time but it's one of the few times in the show where he's just totally normal and you can
00:50:48see who he really is like he just does that goofy stuff at the office to make people like
00:50:55like he said he's he's sitting there cross-legged and he's eating cake and jim's like i had a bad day
00:51:00i tried to change all the birthdays to one day and michael's eating he's like oh yeah i tried that
00:51:06big mistake you'll get better at it and he's like just so like calm and connecting with with jim
00:51:12yeah it's a serious scene yeah it's it's my favorite michael scott scene one of my favorite
00:51:16scenes in sitcoms to be honest um that's a great pull and so because of that i love michael scott
00:51:21but because of that i'm gonna go with uh costanza shrinking shrinkage alone yeah yeah that's one of
00:51:26the funnier sitcoms tommy i'm glad my vote doesn't matter i don't know where i guess costanza but man
00:51:32i mean michael scott going out front i know it's crazy it's again that's an earnest eating i i'll eat
00:51:38that one uh so now we're gonna run through our playoffs starting off with the uh dennis versus selena
00:51:44my art meyers good lord what a fucking matchup jesus christ uh tommy i gotta go dennis just
00:51:51because i've seen more of always sunny and like i said he always sunny one of the funniest shows ever
00:51:55dennis in my mind was my my one one pick so many good moments i again i'm sure selena's great i just

00:52:22that episode is great the one where he spills the cereal like yeah and also the suburbs episode
