00:00One of my favorite dishes.
00:01Macaroni and cheese.
00:02We're making Big Martha's mac and cheese.
00:04And her recipe has two surprising ingredients.
00:07Start by shredding three cups of white cheddar cheese
00:09and one cup of Swiss.
00:10Get your macaroni cooking in one pot,
00:12and in the second pot we make our sauce.
00:13It starts with milk and our first surprise ingredient,
00:16tomato soup.
00:17Get this heating up together,
00:18and then we stir in salt, pepper, cayenne pepper,
00:20and our cheeses.
00:21When the sauce is nice and creamy,
00:23combine it with the pasta.
00:24Pour your mixture into a lightly buttered casserole dish,
00:26then top with Swiss cheese and dot with butter.
00:28Pop it into the oven, 375 for about 45 minutes,
00:31or until golden brown and bubbly.
00:35Oh, the other secret ingredient.
00:37Topped with sour cream.
00:41That tomato soup, it's not overwhelming,
00:43but it is interesting,
00:43and I do kind of like the surprise flavor that's in there.
00:46Sour cream is nice, but it cuts some of that richness,
00:49and I kind of even want it richer, you know what I mean?
00:51Try it, let me know what you think.
