President Marcos expressed outrage after discovering that a P55-million riverwall project in Baliuag, Bulacan, had been recorded as “completed” by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) despite having no construction on the ground at all.

00:00President Marcos enraged over a 55-million-peso river wall project in Baliwag, Bulacan
00:08that had been recorded as completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways

00:17Marcos said after inspecting the supposed 220-meter reinforced concrete river wall in Barangay Piel earlier today
00:24that the absence of flood control structures has allowed flooding to persist in nearby communities.
00:30He added that if the projects were properly executed and implemented,
00:34many of the people's problems would have already been solved.
00:38Marcos said the government is currently studying the filing of criminal cases
00:42against contractors and officials involved in falsifying accomplishment reports.
00:48Marcos also urged residents to continue reporting anomalies and sending photos or videos as evidence.
00:54He also said that a legal team has started reviewing DPWH documents
00:59and comparing them with complaints received from residents
