00:00Good morning. We just nakakatapos lang ng briefing ng ating NDRMC.
00:09Tumpul unang-una sa response natin sa Typhoon Tino.
00:14Mabigat talaga ang pagkatama sa Cebu.
00:18Actually, Region 678, Maropa, kumabot sa Negros Island Region.
00:27Kasi tayo tumawid. Ang Tino ended, the damage is heavy.
00:33So, we are doing our usual relief and support activities para lahat ng mga displaced, lahat ng naging biktima ay matutulungan at nagpamahalaan.
00:48Together with the national government, together with the first responders, of course, the LGUs, maayos naman.
00:55The only problem is that napakalakas ng Tino.
01:02Unfortunately, meron tayong inaabangan na parating na may potensyal na maging mas malakas pa.
01:11Itong napangalanan na one.
01:14And so, we are also preparing for that.
01:17Yung pinakamalaking problema na nakikita namin is that yung tao na, yung lahat ng personnel natin, nandun ngayon sa Visayas para sikasuhin nga relief and support ng pamahalaan dun.
01:34Ay, kailangan na natin pag-isipan kung ilan dun, kung sino dun ang pwede nang dalhin para paghandaan na yung uwan, which is going to hit Central and Southern and, sorry, Northern Luzon.
01:49Mukhang a landfall sa Cagayanan naman.
01:52We will already be feeling the effects, yung kulan, and some winds, siguro by Sunday morning.
02:00Kaya yun ang aming binabalansay kung ipapag...
02:03Hindi namin, siyempre, hindi namin iiwanan ng Cebu hanggat lahat na ay in place na the same thing.
02:11But we will do as much as we can to anticipate.
02:15Dahil marami tayong mag...
02:17If we anticipate well and we prepare well, marami tayong nagagawa para medyo mas mabawasan ng effect.
02:24Pero napakabigat nung nangyari sa...
02:26Nang Tino, unfortunately, the casualty count is very high.
02:35Madami tayong deaths that we have suffered.
02:39And I do not want to give a number because we are still in the process of validating all the numbers about the damages, etc.
02:50The number of people who have been displaced, the number of families that are under evacuation centers,
02:57those that have been displaced, na umuot sa panila mga kamag-anak, sa mga kaibigan,
03:02those are still being processed.
03:04But it is a significant number.
03:09So that's the situation for now.
03:11We are continuing our relief and support for those who were hit by Typhoon Tino.
03:18But we are also doing everything that we can para ma-anticipate at makapaghanda tayo ng mabuti dito naman sa parating na Typhoon Uwan.
03:29Because of the scope of, shall we say, problem areas that will be hit, that has been hit by Tino and will be hit by Uwan,
03:43there was a proposal from the DRMC, which I approve, that we will declare a national calamity.
03:54Because ilang regions na yan, there will be almost 10 regions, 10, 12 regions that will be affected.
04:01So pagkaganong calamity, ganun ang scope, then it is a national calamity.
04:09Thank you so much.
04:10Thank you so much.
