Starlink experienced a brief network outage on Monday, with thousands of users reporting disruptions on Downdetector, according to CNBC. It was the second outage in two weeks, following a July 24th failure that SpaceX attributed to key internal software issues. The outage occurred shortly after T-Mobile launched its Starlink-powered direct-to-cell service designed to keep phones connected in areas without carrier coverage. Starlink’s constellation is the largest in the industry, with over 7,000 operational satellites. The satellite internet service from Elon Musk’s SpaceX provides internet to over six million users in 140 countries. President Donald Trump last week signed an executive order easing regulations that Musk has criticized as slowing commercial space operations.
