00:15On Thursday, August 21, PhilHealth kicks off this much-covetted healthcare perk by way of its guaranteed accessible medications for outpatient treatment program, or gamot,
00:26that offers members the essential and most wildly prescribed drugs for free.
00:32The broadened healthcare program put into effect by way of PhilHealth Circular Number 2025-0029 affords members up to 20,000 pesos worth of medication or prescription drugs annually, or 1,666 pesos monthly, free of charge.
00:48This array of medicines covers 75 of the essentially prescribed drugs covering treatment for health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, high cholesterol, heart disease, and asthma, to name a few.
01:04To avail of free prescription drugs covered by gamot, a PhilHealth must first enroll or register with their PhilHealth Yakup clinic of choice.
01:11He or she will then be issued a prescription with a unique security prescription code, which could be taken to any accredited PhilHealth Kamot facility for redemption of the prescribed medication.
01:23PhilHealth's Kamot initiative is part of the agency's Yakup program, which the president underscored in his last State of the Nation speech,
01:30that highlights the administration's objective of improving the health condition of Filipinos nationwide and over the long haul.
