00:15Now on arrival, police say that a woman was found badly injured. Paramedics had arrived to treat the woman.
00:24However, she died within the home behind me, which is now a crime scene.
00:31Indeed, police tape stretched along the perimeter as police stand guard in the driveway awaiting for forensic officers to comb the area for clues.
00:43Detectives as well have arrived to speak to neighbours, etc.
00:47Although some of the people we've spoken to say that they didn't hear anything and that it's a quiet street here at Unicum Close.
00:55So we know that a man, a 30-year-old, has been arrested.
01:00He's being questioned at Maitland Police Station.
01:04The woman in her 20s died from the assault and police are expected to shed more light on that during the day.
01:15The police will address the media later today in terms of what's happened.
