00:06this is a springs as a lefty going up against soriano a righty here we'll get to their pitching
00:12statistics in a moment but we're looking at roughly a pick-em time across the board depending
00:16on where you're shopping at but the thing we always know is it doesn't matter who the pitchers
00:19are there a 10 across the board as a total that's just what they do in sacramento it really is uh
00:26i'm only seeing mid 70s ish when it comes to temperature so it's not scorching hot there
00:32you know nine mile per wind blowing out which is certainly nice to see you know springs has put up
00:36some solid stuff as of late uh especially the last 30 days strikeout rate is okay when it's all said
00:41and done jose soriano is a far more interesting pitcher to talk about donning we look back at
00:46his recent game log no earned runs against the dodgers six innings no one runs only two hits
00:51credits him before that seven hits seven earned runs against the rays then we would go through
00:56the stretch we're only giving up one or two earned runs why is this and we've talked about this before
01:00he doesn't strike anyone out at 20.6 but a 10.4 walk rate terrible babbeth over 300 more importantly
01:08the ground ball and fly ball rate are a hilarious combo 66 ground ball rate and only 16.4 walk rate so
01:15what does that mean when he gets hit it's single after single after double after double after single
01:20combined with some walks i like the a's today i like the a's today i like them to put up some
01:25runs i don't think soriano is a good pitcher when it's all said and done he cannot pitch himself out
01:29of trouble traffic on the base pass is a disaster when it comes to giving up runs and that's what
01:35soriano is going to give us does not say i don't like any angels hitters so we'll get to the home run
01:39segment but the a's come away with the win yeah soriano is an interesting sort of uh you know time
01:44piece to go over you look at his weighted on base percentage it's low iso is okay but over the past 30
01:49days like right-handed batters have really caught up to his seasonal statistics here he is a ground
01:53ball pitcher which does help him but you look at that a's lineup just to open it tom nick kurtz and
01:58shea langoliers like kurtz is 67 at bats he's had a 518 iso a 696 weighted on base percentage and a walk
02:06rate of 15 against right-handed pitching over the past 30 days shea langoliers 80 of plate appearances
02:12a 453 iso and a 527 weighted on base percentage like they got some guys that can detonate right off the
02:18bat when you are betting time in sacramento like you look at some of the pitchers that well they
02:23probably not that bad but it's just an environment where it's it doesn't matter sometimes like if your
02:27pitcher is good or bad you just get hit you really can and you know this always comes down to finding
02:34the the props and the odds to make it worth it because if you were going to bet on kurtz you know
02:40and his two plus total basis was minus 170 it's like yeah i don't want that but if you can find the right
02:46combination of his props or whatever hitter like to get you to good odds you might as well take that
02:51more often than not just because we know the hitting environment is going to be so strong
02:55yeah so we take a look at like the the two places that you love and of course they're going to be
02:59price appropriate like if that game today we're talking about kriz map pitching on the mound in
03:03colorado it's not a sense to tell it it's not a 13 like you take it to the normal ballpark you
03:08maybe you get the nine and a half in the tens but it's colorado where stuff goes crazy the same
03:12thing that certainly happens in sacramento a lot but two decent looking lineups here by the way
03:16looking at that lineup for the colorado rockies just those psa's time that we like to give
03:19the lineup looks great today going up against the diamondbacks and you know the diamondbacks
03:23going to hit as well like if i gave you two choices right said tom you have to pick one of
03:28these games and it's not the same like two tens like you have 13 as a total in colorado does that
03:33game go over or does the game in sacramento go over at 10 which one would you take the free bet
03:38on at that point i think i would have to side with colorado like i it's it is i it'd be too
03:46much to pass up the literal best hitting environment yeah and expecting runs from disastrous bullpens
03:52i would have to like it's like yeah like it's 14 but again we talked about this so many times like
03:57hey man friday night do you want to take a six and a half minus 140 team total in arizona
04:00yeah you should have you know what i mean like when you oh i gotta get seven at this point or let me
04:06take an all team total at four and a half or five i'm gonna get five runs on an all team yeah
04:11they'll probably get it by the third or fourth inning so they are fun environments to bet into
04:14but la taking on the athletics they're in sacramento followed up there with arizona and colorado two
04:20things that should be fun and by the way heavy favorite for arizona on the road with chrismat which
04:24tells you everything you need to know but we think what we're getting out of senzatella today and
04:27then of course soriano in spring so i do think soriano is the better pitcher but it's not used to that
04:31environment he puts in a great pitcher's ballpark in anaheim this isn't anaheim at this point
