Bukit Aman Criminal Investigations Department director Comm Datuk M. Kumar said that investigation papers by the special task force for the death of Zara Qairina Mahathir will be handed over to the deputy public prosecutor’s office on Monday (Aug 18) for advice and further instructions.

00:00Investigation papers by the Special Task Force for the death of Zahra Kairina Mahathir will
00:07be handed over to the Deputy Public Prosecutor's Office on Monday for advice and further instructions.
00:14Bukit Aman Criminal Investigations Department Director, Commissioner Datuk M. Kumar, in
00:20a statement on Sunday, said that a total of 195 people have had their statements recorded.
00:27This included teachers, students, wardens and parents.
00:31He said the police investigation has focused on two elements, which is from the inquest
00:36aspect and from other criminal angles including bullying and the spread of fake news.
00:42He reiterated that the investigation was done without fear or favour.
00:46Previously, Commissioner Datuk M. Kumar said Zahra's autopsy results showed she died from
00:52traumatic brain injuries as originally diagnosed by doctors.
00:56He said these injuries were consistent with those sustained from a fall.
01:00Zahra died after she was believed to have fallen from the third floor of her school hostel in
01:04Papar on July 16th.
