00:12They are desperately fighting to save their homes,

00:14as wildfires continue to burn throughout the country.

00:19I was supposed to be in Bilbao working,

00:21but I can't abandon my family or my village.

00:23We've been working nonstop and haven't slept in four days,

00:26helping surrounding villages.

00:28It's our turn, so we're here protecting our homes.

00:32Over a dozen major blazes are tearing through northern and northwestern Spain,

00:37a reminder of deadly fires that ravaged the country in 2022.
