00:00I'm on a challenge to give my baby 100 different foods before he turns one.
00:04Today is food number 77 and my baby has finally requested to eat lamb brains.
00:08The reason why he wants to eat lamb brains today is because he knows that it's an absolute superfood for babies.
00:14Lamb brains are high in DHA, which is a type of omega-3 fatty acid.
00:18This fatty acid is essential for brain, eye, and nervous system development.
00:21Children with low levels of DHA actually showed mood and behavior issues later on.
00:26Lamb brains are also high in vitamin B12, which is essential for neurological development.
00:31Did you know that lamb brains also contain a high level of choline, which is great for memory development?
00:35Lamb brains should be offered in moderation because it does contain a high level of cholesterol.

00:47I'm on a challenge to give my baby 100 different foods before he turns one.
00:51Today is food number 71 and 72 and my baby has requested to eat chicken kebabs.
00:56The reason why my baby asked for chicken kebabs is because he knows it contains the protein and iron he needs for all the growing he's been doing.
01:03This recipe is great for the whole family.
01:05Just take some out for your baby before you add in any salt or chili.
01:09Chicken is packed with protein, which supports tissue repair and the development of muscles.
01:13Because of the high protein in this, your baby is going to feel fuller for longer without any energy crashes or tantrums in between mealtime.
01:20Start off by grating half an onion and rinsing any onion moisture with a cheesecloth.
01:25Then to your chicken mince, add the half an onion, finely chopped coriander and parsley, minced garlic and your herbs.
01:31Here I have used coriander powder, white pepper, sumac, turmeric and cinnamon.
01:36Mix it all together until your fingers hurt and then mix it some more.
01:40My tip to form flat patties is to lightly oil your hands.
01:43This stops the mixture from sticking to your skin.
01:45Use about a full hand worth of mince and roll it into a ball.
01:49Gently flatten with the palm of your hand and press the edges with your fingers to make it even.
01:53Shallow fry each piece until tender and juicy from the inside.
01:56I've used butter here for the healthy fats.
01:58Chop up the patty into soldiers and serve.

02:07I'm on a challenge to give my baby 100 different foods before he turns one.
02:11Today my baby asked me where I'm from.
02:13I said Pakistan.
02:14He then wanted to know where his dad was from.
02:17I said Bangladesh.
02:19He replied, if I'm a fusion of cultures, would it be okay for us to have a fusion of cultures in our food?
02:24So today marks food number 63 to 68 and we're making a fusion of a Maltese dish named Aliotta and the Bengali dish tomato tock.
02:33This recipe takes about 40 minutes to make.
02:36All you have to do is fry off some onion with garlic and ginger.
02:40Add in some tomatoes and add a small amount of tomato paste.
02:43Let it fry with mixed herbs.
02:45Add in water and let the tomatoes soften.
02:48Add a lemongrass stick with finely chopped kale, carrots and bok choy.
02:52Add in about a cup and a half of broth.
02:54I used vegetable broth here.
02:56With as much water as you like.
02:57Let it simmer to let all the aroma and benefits of the vegetables release.
03:02Take out the lemongrass and make sure you take out the lemongrass and use a hand blender to mix the soup together.
03:08Add in bite-sized pieces of basa fillet and a handful of garlic gyro rice and cook until tender.
03:13This was an absolute hit in my household.

03:20I'm on a challenge to give my baby 100 different foods before he turns one.
03:24Today is food number 62 to 64 and my baby has woken up violently craving Nutella.
03:29I decided it was time to pull out the recipe book and make him a homemade hazelnut spread.
03:34The reason why he wanted Nutella today is because he knows that hazelnuts contain healthy fats,
03:39vitamin E for skin health and magnesium for muscle function because of all the walking he's been doing.
03:44This recipe is quite simple to make and the whole family can enjoy it.
03:48Roast a bag of hazelnuts for about 10 minutes to let the oil start excreting.
03:52Then blend it until it's a powdery consistency.
03:55Add some coconut oil or avocado oil, whatever you prefer.
03:58Add in some vanilla extract and cacao powder, not cocoa powder, and keep blending together.
04:04Add in a tablespoon of powdered milk and blend until it's a smooth consistency.
04:08If you're making this for yourself, add some honey and some milk to make it even more creamy.
04:13Store in an airtight jar and keep it in the fridge.
04:15Did you know that in a 2 tablespoon serving of Nutella, it contains approximately 21 grams of sugar?

04:28I'm on a challenge to give my baby 100 different foods before he turns 1.
04:36Today is food number 59 to 61 and my baby has requested I make mutabal.
04:41What most people think is baba ganoush.
04:43The reason why my baby asked for this is because he knows that he needs to test for sesame allergies.
04:48Aubergines are a great source of fiber and antioxidants for babies protecting their brains from oxidative stress.
04:54It also contains B1 and B6 for brain development.
04:57Tahini contains iron which is crucial for babies to support their growth as well as containing omega-6 fatty acids for hormone production.
05:05Sesame is a common allergen and it's important to test in small quantities.
05:09This dish takes less than 20 minutes to make and is an absolute great way to introduce these two foods to your babies.
