00:00What did you want to do? You had some schedule quirky stuff you wanted to get into.
00:04Just a few things. I was looking at the back-to-backs. They have 14 of them this year,
00:09which I don't think is as many as they've had in the past, but they do have a couple of the weird
00:13ones where it's either road, then home, home, then road. They have a home, go to Portland,
00:20not a huge deal. Home, go to Sac. They've got Utah, then come home the next night. That one's
00:26a little bit awkward, but the other ones are either home and home or Cleveland, Chicago,
00:32big deal. They've got a Toronto, Brooklyn. They've got a New York to D.C. They've got
00:37Orlando to Miami. These are back-to-backs that I think are, it's still awkward because you
00:42don't want to play back-to-back, but they're in-state or close in proximity.
00:46That's good.
00:47So schedule-wise, that's good. What is a little scary, in March, all on the road, six games
00:53and nine nights. Six games, nine nights, and that includes two of the aforementioned
01:01back-to-backs. So that's going to be a trip, and that's not even the, I guess that is the
01:07totality of that trip. You open up on a Sunday in New York, you wind up on a Monday
01:11in Dallas, and yeah, that's tough. That's actually, yeah, nine nights.
01:17I'm excited, man. I can't wait to see a full year with Jimmy Butler.
01:20I can't wait to see a full year with Jimmy Butler. And sure, I don't know who's going
01:25to stay healthy, and I have no idea who else is going to be on the team because the Warriors
01:30offseason is not started yet, unlike the rest of the NBA teams. And so that'll all get figured
01:39out at some point. But that's, to me, that's the lead story because they were a very, very
01:45good basketball team, whether you want to do the whole, like, but their schedule was
01:49lame. Okay. And then...
01:51I already debunked that with my deep dive.
01:53Yeah, thank you. And then, you know, gosh, Steph Curry gets hurt, and geez, Jimmy, you
01:57can't win one game. All right, like all of that emotion from the end of the season, I
02:02kind of, I don't know, sweep it away. That year's over.
02:05Yep.
02:05They were very good. They're a very good team once Jimmy Butler arrived, and now they
02:12get to do that for a whole year. And I would imagine on some level, that's got to put them
02:16at a little bit less of a desperate chase when you do get to February and March and April.
02:23You hope.
02:23I hope.
02:24Well, because that gauntlet I just was mentioning, six games and nine nights all on the road,
02:29you would like to be able to load manage a little bit of that, have a cushion. A couple
02:33other dates that I want to highlight. Jimmy to Miami, November 19th. So that's an early
02:39one.
02:40I mean, after what happened last year, I'm like, wake me in the fourth quarter. Like,
02:45that was such a disappointing performance by him and the team. And by the way, such
02:50a muted show by the crowd. I don't know, man. That one didn't live up to its hype at all.
02:58No, it didn't. But, you know, going back there, Pods, he was talking about the schedule.
03:03And how he's looking forward to, you know, the trip to Milwaukee.
03:06He's got it memorized already.
03:08October 30th.
03:09Okay.
03:09Yeah, we need to get Pods on.
03:11Well, we will next Wednesday.
03:12And we're going to ask him about the schedule. I'll have to quiz him a little bit. But early.
03:17It's an early visit, so.
03:19October 30th?
03:19Yeah.
03:20What do they do? What's their next game?
03:22After that, it is the first in Indiana.
03:26Okay.
03:27So he'll have a night in between.
03:29And he can stay and do Halloween in Milwaukee.
03:31Perhaps.
03:32He could dress up as the Valkyries mascot.
03:35Pretty much.
03:36Anyway.
03:37Clay comes here for one time only, Christmas.
03:40That's his only visit.
03:42Dallas does not come here again.
03:44The Kavon Looney tribute video game.
03:4711-30, November 30th.
03:49Kavon comes for the first time with New Orleans.
03:51And Jordan Poole.
03:53Yeah, that's right.
03:54Jordan Poole.
03:55I keep thinking he's on Washington.
03:56No, Jordan Poole's on the Pelicans now.
03:58But I think it's going to be about Kavon.
04:00Of course.
04:00Jordan already had his moment.
04:01Yeah, he's already had his return.
04:02And the other one is, you always want to see when Steph goes to Madison Square Garden.
04:07That is March 15th.
04:09That's actually the beginning of that road gauntlet I talked about.
04:14And one final one, Mark.
04:15And this is a really positive one to keep an eye on for the Warriors.
04:17They don't leave California from January 1st to the 20th.
04:23What?
04:2420 days.
04:25They have 10 home games and a trip to face the Clippers.
04:30I'm laughing because you said that like Scott Hansen on Red Zone.
04:3320 days.
04:3420 days.
04:34Everything now.
04:35Yeah.
04:36They have two home games back to back.
04:39They go to the Clippers.
04:40And then it's an eight game homestand after that.
04:44Fantastic.
04:44So you've got a three week stretch where you don't have to leave California.
04:48Rest up for March.
04:49Right.
04:50So it's just a couple of the quirky things in the schedule where, you know, the back to
04:55backs and then the road gauntlet, but the nice, the home cooking.
04:59So after Christmas, yeah, you get a little, you know, three game road trip after the Christmas
05:04game and then you're home.
05:06You're home for three weeks in California.
05:08Love it.
05:08Yeah.
05:09And then the other thing is, is yeah, you're going to have to get used to some new media
05:13partners.
05:13I still think we're in some level of getting used to this, especially those of you who
05:20have been fans for some time where like games are going to be, uh, Amazon prime games are
05:26going to be on Peacock.
05:28And this is just kind of the, I don't know.
05:30Did the, I sort of had a question about this.
05:32Does this still bother people?
05:34Does it still bother people?
05:36You asking me?
05:37Oh, well, sure.
05:38You're the one.
05:38It does.
05:39It bothers me.
05:39Cause I, I, I've sort of arrived at this spot where it's like, and I don't want this
05:45to come off a certain way.
05:47Like I'm, I'm with all of you.
05:49And, and in fact, I get bugged by how overwhelming it all feels to figure out YouTube TV, Netflix,
05:59Hulu, Amazon prime, HBO max.
06:02And I'm still the dunderhead who's over here doing the regular thing too.
06:07Me too.
06:07So if you add it all up, I think I'm spending, I don't know, $947 a month or something like
06:15that.
06:15It's probably not mentioned Disney plus cause you don't have a toddler, right?
06:19I don't do this.
06:20You'd mentioned Paramount Puss, right?
06:22Cause I did not.
06:24Paramount Puss.
06:25Cause for those of you new to the show, my daughter, who is brilliant, the L's are wise,
06:31but when the L is in a place like that, it's Paramount Puss.
06:34No, I don't do Paramount Pius.
06:36I don't think you should say it that way.
06:38You shouldn't say that the L's are wise.
06:41You should make sure that your daughter is a winner.
06:44Myla, no L's.
06:46She is.
06:46And she's not going to be a user.
06:48My ya.
06:49Yeah.
06:49No L's.
06:50She's working on the L.
06:52Cause I know she's working on it.
06:53One of these days she's going to get it and you're going to be bummed.
06:56I'm already bummed.
06:57You're going to be bummed.
06:58You're going to like, that's that.
06:59It's like anything in parenting.
07:01Cause I'll put on.
07:02You're so bugged by it.
07:03And then they leave and you're like, please.
07:06Can we just go back?
07:07I'll put on a Valkyries game and I'll say, Myla, you need to get locked in.
07:12I don't want to yak in.
07:14Can we please lock in?
07:16They're pushing for the playoffs.
07:17I don't want to yak in.
07:19Why doesn't she want to yak in?
07:21Because if I ask her to yak in, then she won't.
07:24If I just put it on, she's going to lock in.
07:26Does she say I'm going to yak in?
07:28No, she just locks in.
07:30Thummy goes in and she's watching the ball game.
07:32But she never says I want to yak in.
07:34No.
07:34But if I ask her to do something, then it's, I don't want to do whatever you just asked
07:38me to do.
07:39I don't want to do it.
07:40When Red Zone Channel comes on, does she yak in or no?
07:44Usually not.
07:45Are we too early for that?
07:47Yeah.
07:47And that's like peak playtime.
07:49Cause it's 10 in the morning.
07:50And so she's now breakfast is done and I need to play.
07:53And so, yeah, I usually try to utter the, uh, the fateful phrase, go play with your mother.
08:01Doesn't get ready to go well.
08:03Yeah.
08:04Oh gosh.
08:05But yeah, I'm with you.
08:07Uh, I am bothered by all of it.
08:09I get over it because I want to watch it.
08:11I want my content, but the thing that bothers me the most is the inability to toggle because
08:17if you're on, for example, Peacock and you're watching the game on the cock and you want
08:23to flip over during a commercial, you can't do it.
08:27What?
08:28That's the colloquialism of Peacock.
08:30Yeah, we do say that.
08:31I was actually, I was actually more taken aback by the way that you said before you called
08:37it the, even just when you call it Peacock, there's so much emphasis on the second syllable.
08:42What is the second syllable?
08:44You said Peacock.
08:46That's right.
08:46Yeah.
08:46When you're watching it on Peacock.
08:48I'm not going to do what you want me to do.
08:51I know you won't.
08:52That's fine.
08:53And you know, the same thing with Amazon Prime.
08:55We have it in like Thursday night football every single week.
09:00I, oh, that's right.
09:01It's on Prime.
09:02Like I'm trying not to upset you, but at the same time, I'm like, this feels a little
09:08bit to me like you're Android.
09:11Not really.
09:12It does.
09:12I mean, in what way?
09:13In this way.
09:14What, what I mean by that is, it's not a reach.
09:18It's not a reach.
09:19It, it, it, because I would say the same thing about the toggling and about the HBO Max and
09:25the Hulu and the Amazon Prime.
09:27And is it frustrating?
09:28Is it too expensive?
09:29It's all of those things.
09:31But this is sort of just like one of those battles that I'm not really going to, uh, to
09:37choose.
09:38In other words, what do I always tell you about your Android?
09:41Like you're allowed to buy an Android.
09:44You're allowed.
09:45It's your phone.
09:46You get to pick whatever provider you want.
09:49But at some point I'm like, can you just, can you just do what we're all doing?
09:55And like, that's just, this is where you miss me.
09:57No, but I, that's how I feel about Amazon Prime.
10:01I'm with you.
10:02It's a bummer that we have to do it this way, but this is how we're doing it.
10:05So we're just, just do what everybody's doing.
10:08I can't be disappointed by that though.
10:10You can be disappointed, but understand that it is only, it's a train heading down a track
10:17at a thousand miles an hour.
10:19And so it's not a fight that anybody can win.
10:22I'm not fighting it.
10:23I'm just expressing the frustration in the inability to toggle.
10:28And I pay for all those services, probably more than you do because I do have a toddler.
10:32And so I just want to have the ability to hit last channel and go from, for example,
10:38the golf channel.
10:39If I'm watching the golf channel and the warrior game starts, I want to be able to hit last
10:44channel and have it automatically go to Amazon or LeCouc.
10:49And then when they go, Hey, we'll take the break.
10:52When Tim Roy says, we'll take the break.
10:54I should be able to go last channel right back to the golf channel, but I can't, I have
10:59to exit the app and then I have to move over.
11:01That's probably coming someday.
11:02Well, I'm waiting to figure that out.
11:04I'm waiting for it.
11:05Yeah.
11:05When we go full circle and the streaming services just become a cable package, essentially.
11:09Yeah.
11:09So that you don't have to do that little circle.
11:12It's searching.
11:13It's all of it.
11:13And then when Netflix comes on or whatever, I don't look again, I'm with you.
11:20I'm not surprised.
11:21I, we know that this is coming.
11:22I am frustrated that it's becoming more difficult as dip is talking about to watch everything,
11:28but also it's just becoming so much more expensive to continue to be a sports fan.
11:31No doubt.
11:32I don't know how much longer I can survive doing it.
11:35And they've, yeah, Lucas.
11:36And they've, they've also, they're doing a better job of figuring out, like we used to
11:40be able to get around this by everybody was just sharing each other's passwords.
11:44Like anybody, like one person in the family would get Netflix and 18 other homes are like,
11:50we can, and now they've figured out how to be like, no, you can only have two on at one
11:54time.
11:54Yep.
11:55And then what happens is, is if you've had these services for a while and your families
12:00and other houses do have it, this are really, you want to see me ticked off?
12:05It's not about all the streaming services and the lack of toggling.
12:09What it is, is when I run home from work and I try to turn on Thursday night football and
12:16you go through that whole process and then a little note comes on your screen.
12:20I'm sorry.
12:22There's too many devices using your prime right now.
12:25And I got a call, my nephew in San Clemente, and I'll be like, get off my prime.
12:32Get off my prime.
12:34Get off my plane.
12:35That's when you hit and take the power move and you just hit the log out of all devices.
12:38That's right.
12:39That's right.
12:40And screw you guys.
12:41I'm changing my password.
12:42And they're just somewhere in America like, oh, what happened?
12:45Well, I found out.
12:47That's what happened.
12:48Yep.
12:48Anyway.
12:49All right.
12:50Fool around and find out.
12:51Better.
12:52Mess with me on my prime.
