00:08i do it's great it's like it's my favorite night club really i mean it's roving it's moving and

00:14it's these guys who just who just love emo music and um so i went there and checked it out and

00:22then i dj'd it's really fun to go and dj um and you can be a really shitty dj like me because

00:29you just i just play records you know just literally just play records there's no beat

00:33mixing or anything like that and it turned out that that mgk was there that night and wanted to

00:40come back and say hi afterwards so he comes back in he's this big viking um but he's like he's like

00:47really sincere and uh has this just kind of um earnestness about him you know and we just kind

00:55hit it off and then uh he hit me up um a couple months later saying that uh he had done this take

01:03on uh one of my songs i liked it i liked it um i think it um you know it wasn't just a um

01:11it wasn't just a cover it was it was i'm taking this to um some different place you know right which

01:22i thought was cool i like it when people take all manner of of genres and um and just let them

01:32kind of permeate through their own matrix as long as um it's it's not appropriation but actually like

01:42um um um um offering something and um and honoring something i think he does that and um he's got this

01:53he's got this genuineness um about him that um you know i can see why people gravitate towards it

02:03he was doing what um all artists do which is look for kind of a a blessing like you feel good about

02:10about me um doing a take on your song and um but then he got through i think when other people

02:19didn't say something about mgk he's a he's a guy who gets through and um and i think that's why

02:28i think that's why kids love him because they they they see that kind of um that drive

02:34and uh in him that that that they want to access in themselves are you guys planning on maybe making

02:41any original music together though uh we don't have any plans at the moment but we don't have

02:47any plans not to right yeah yeah like i love collaborating with people um i i think it's great
